Prescription was ordered in the morning, took the staff 30 minutes to tell me they didn't even have the right medication and had to substitute with something my insurance covered. I was told at the drive up it would take 5 minutes. Staff yelled at me as I was leaving not to treat them like McDonald's despite me being patient for over 20 minutes. I've had to wait in the past but never this long and I will not be returning.

I love how they keep me up on time to refill prescriptions and deliver to Dallas Center. Friendly staff and delivery driver.

Extremely organized and quick to offer help with prescriptions and medical supplies. When I was there, I experienced NO WAITING. Thank you Medicap Pharmacy Waukee!

I try not to blast local businesses on social media, but I am truly concerned about this for the community who utilizes Medicap Pharmacy in town here.
For two months or longer, I have been shorted on my controlled medication. My wife picked up my meds last night while I was at Church and decided to count them to be certain there were 30 capsules. There were only 28. When I called Medicap, I spoke with Corey (manager) and she dismissed me saying that the capsules are automatically dispensed into a bag and verified. I asked about when the meds go from bag to bottle, and she said she has to “trust her staff in that process”. She told me if I wanted more information, I would have to reach out to the district manager and corporate office.
I am certain that this has been going on for more than half a year, due to running out early. This is the first time I counted.
I asked the manager why she wouldn’t be concerned about this. She kept going back to the canned response of “it’s an automated process”. Either she is covering or she has no want to figure out what’s going on here. She refused to address the “process” of the meds being handled directly by staff.
Lesson of the day: Verify you are getting what you pay for. Especially if it’s something others would want to steal for profit or personal use. Not only was this an incredibly inappropriate way to handle the situation, but there is no way that 30 pills went down to 28 when they put the bottle in the drive thru drawer.
I have filed a complaint with the Board of Pharmacy.

We were recommended by family to come here to pick up some special throat lozenges. We had to wait 20 minutes to check out from an over the counter item! Those with prescriptions were taken over us during that whole time. If all you prefer is prescriptions, then don’t offer over the counter stuff. We will not be back.

Terrible customer service. I stood waiting for 20 minutes to purchase one item because they kept letting people with prescriptions in front of me. Very unprofessional.

This place used to be amazing and never had issues, but something changed this year and this place is a mess. I no longer receive notifications when my prescriptions are ready. If I call ahead, my prescription still isn’t ready. If I wait a couple days, it still isn’t ready. If I come in person it’s always a 30 minute wait. The last three times I’ve been there they have lost it and cannot find it. Sad to say, but I won’t becoming back. Whatever they broke in their process they need to get it straightened out. I wasn’t going to leave a review but based on all the recent one star reviews it’s easy to see that management needs to undo whatever the heck they did.

Switched here a few years ago and it was fabulous. Not sure what happened but it's just continued to go downhill. It's really too bad because I'd referred so many friends, family and co-workers here. It started months ago when they updated their system. Every month they'd fix our accounts so they were on auto fill again. Next month, nothing would get filled again and it would take multiple trips to get Prescriptions filled. After months of this, it seemed to finally get fixed the last two months. Part of the issue was medicap in Grimes closed so many Prescriptions were transferred here and they really weren't equipped for the sudden change in volume. Problems with pricing, filling with name brand without asking or giving me notice when generic was out of stock. Not applying coupon codes. Just an overall lack of the level of service I'd come to expect from this location. The final straw was today when I went to pick up antibiotics that were sent over 6 hours ago along with regular monthly medications. I was denied picking up my children's medication because I only had a passport as identification. It's literally a federally acceptable form of identification everywhere else, but not here. I'm done & moving on.

I usually try to avoid leaving bad reviews, but I've reached my breaking point with this pharmacy. I've been going here for almost a year now, and I can count on one hand the number of times I haven't had an issue. Their online and app options are difficult to access, and I could never get a response from technical support to resolve a problem with my phone number. It's gotten so bad that for the last five trips (I've kept a tally), I called ahead to confirm my prescriptions were ready, only to arrive and find nothing in the system or prepared. I'll be switching pharmacies and don't recommend this one to anyone.

Worst Pharmacy ever. I highly recommend avoiding going there. I called them yesterday about my medication, which was sent to them around the first week of July, and they never called me about it. They said it should be ready today (07/24/2024) anytime in the afternoon. I asked twice is it any particular time or anytime afternoon and they said anytime would be fine. My wife took our kid and went there, and after 20 minutes, standing on the drive-through line, they still told her it would take another 15 minutes to prepare the medication. How worst are you????

Medicap personnel can't be beat. Cindy is always going the extra mile for me and I'm sure that is why the rest of her staff does the same. They go out of their way to get in touch with doctors when needed, find alternative drugs when appropriate. I wouldn't consider another pharmacy, I wouldn't trust another pharmacy. The staff is quick to learn customer's names and greet them by that name whenever in the store.
UPDATE: Since manager, Cindy, left so did ALL of the great customer service. The new RX app is a joke. I leave messages but get no response. No more texts when prescriptions are ready. On a recent visit when I asked about this all I got from employee was a shrug and a “sometimes, maybe, we don’t know”. Customers now have to look at app to see if scripts are ready. But that means checking every day. Don’t know if they still have their auto fill program. With Cindy and her crew they did. I NEVER had to worry about missing a medication refill. Never. I will have to consider moving to mail order or another pharmacy. Very sad.
Update. 6/4/24. I tried. I really tried to hang in there with these people but poor to NO customer service, no improvements. Transferred my scripts to another pharmacy today.

Where to even begin. Went to pick up prescriptions for mom while she’s out of town so she has them when she gets home. She tried to pick them up on Monday before leaving, was told it was too early and they could be picked up Thursday, ok that’s fine. I go to pick them up on Friday the day after she was told they could be picked up. Only one was found in the system and it wasn’t even ready, was told it’d be 15 - 20 minutes, ok I’ll wait. Waited a while and finally got it about 40 - 45 minutes later. I let my mom know I got her one prescription but there had been no record of the other. She called and only after did they say oh it is there and that they would get it ready. I went back about an hour and a half after my mom had called only to be told it wasn’t ready and I’d have to wait 10 - 15 minutes. Two trips in one day and close to an hour wasted waiting is ridiculous. Very thankful I personally get my medicine elsewhere.
