I provided proof of insurance when I first rented my unit. A year later, without contacting me, they added a $31 monthly fee for their in-house coverage. I immediately emailed them with proof of my continued insurance, but after three weeks with no response, the higher bill was still charged to my card.
Beyond this, I haven’t had many interactions with staff. The internal storage unit has some moisture on the ground after it rains, but I can’t complain overall. Everything usually just works and, while my unit has increased 50% in price over the last six months, it hasn’t been enough to get me to move.

NO ONE AT STORAGE MART! 9/17 from 1:30-2:45PM. I arrived at storage mart and the door was locked. No one returned in 1 hour and 15 minutes while I waited. I called the 800 and local number. They both went to voicemail. I even called the local Waukee location. No answer and same voicemail. I decided to try to do it online. I got to the contract and has a question. I contacted the email and still no response. It looks like an employee walked off the job and they have no backup plan. Storage Mart is CLOSED! And more important as a business owner is loosing revenue.

Tyler was an immense help when trying to figure out what the appropriate storage unit size would be that I needed! He even walked me to a storage unit so I could have a better idea of what the unit would look like. Tyler did a fantastic job and I was very appreciative that he was helping me!

Very clean building inside and out. Staff is very friendly as well. Unfortunately they seemed at the time understaffed as there was nobody at the register, and I had to go find them in order to get service. But overall not bad

The look of the facility is nice, bit they have a lot of work that needs to be done. Every time I go to unload or load something into my unit, its a 50/50 shot of a cart being available or having all the wheels. For the climate controlled are the middle elevator doesn't arrive at second floor level, meaning you have close to a 1-1 1/2 drop to try and get you items on the elevator and have to pick the cart up and over to get items off the elevator. I would think the amount they are charging people they could invest that back into some of the basic things to make the building easier for people to use.
