The post master is very nice and personable however there is a woman who works in the office who is not good. She charged me more for a priority package because it wasn’t in a priority mailer but when I have taken them anywhere else, they have charged me about $8. She also does not seem to care about the customer, believes she knows everything, and is snarky.

My packages get lost because this post office does NOT deliver to "every residence" as the description below claims and many companies do NOT accept P,O. Box numbers so a street address has to be added. This creates confusion and my packages have been delivered to the p,o, box number matching the street address number. Some companies have rejected our street address completely because it comes up as non existent. Since no mail is delivered at home, who knows... maybe Mom owned this property for 25 years thinking it was 302 due to a typo/error and it really is 304.

The hours of operation at the Wellman PO are incredibly limited. In a small community where mail is not delivered and most packages must be picked up at the post office, this has proven to be quite cumbersome. During lunch hour, when I can only assume many residents would be able to pick up their mail and make transactions, the office is closed from 11:30am to 1:30pm. They close during the weekdays at 4:30pm and on Saturdays are only open for operation from 8-10:30. This is ridiculous. Have the Fed's funnel a little more money into this station so that community members can get their mail and make postal transactions within a time frame that is accommodating to both parties. Or hire some mail carriers.
I give two stars instead of one because I find all the employees that work at this post office very friendly and helpful under the circumstances.

Closed for two hours at lunch time. Not convenient when home delivery isn't available.
