Nice quiet place. My girlfriend used the restroom and she said there was no ceiling. So it was just wall. It was located right by the dinning area. It was uncomfortable she said.Food: 4/5

Located in a cute downtown area, very friendly staff and a large menu... options for everyone! Ordered the paloma (pictured) and was surprised by how big the mug was, good flavor but could use more alcohol as it was pretty sweet. The best part was the lunch menu which had great options at a great price!Vegetarian options: Large selection of vegetarian options in the menu.

Mi Pueblito is a super easy to find mainstay restaurant on the Winterset square, and on the way to the John Wayne Museum. The staff was very quick and efficient on this busy Saturday lunch hour. They were prompt and I was seated in minutes. The dining area is simple, straight-forward. You can see my pic of the lunch specials, there is a lot of variety - order by the number and you're done. This day, I ordered the Special Lunch #3: burrito and taco. My order arrived very quickly. As you can see in my pic, it's a simple plate: a small burrito (I assume lunch sized and priced), an incredible amount of rice and my hard shell taco. The burrito was filled only with ground beef. The ground beef didn't have any flavor, in and of itself. The tortilla was fine and the red sauce had a very mild enchilada flavor. The rice had standard flavor. The hard shell taco had the requisite items: shredded chicken (which was my selection), shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. It was good that the shredded chicken had been dredged in a light ranchero sauce and was very moist. The salsa with chips was good, a bit of spice but not too hot. I used this to compliment the burrito and taco.

Chips & salsa came quickly. Combo 15 was fresh tasting. Wish it had some lettuce/Pico on side to add some crunch. Chicken fajitas were delicious with lots of veggies. Burrito Fiesta was huge.

The food was OK but the portions are very small I recommend people go to the Far West restaurant in Lorimor food is excellent and the portions are very large and satisfying

Stopped by while visiting town, stuffed poblano pepper is a must have!! Sweet wait staff, and clean bathrooms.

I admit I am from the land of good Mexican restaurants (Arizona), but this wasn’t even close to Mexican… more like Mexican’t. I don’t like Taco Bell but I would have preferred. Do NOT get the taco salad. Consists only of runny beans and macerated ground beef with iceberg lettuce. Not a tomato in sight or avocado. Nothing. And even with that it isn’t filled 1/2 way. I swear these beans are dry and mixed with water to reform. Salsa is nearly like ketchup. Really awful. Nobody else’s dishes were much better.
