“I go to the MPC alot. It's really cheap and I can always find what I'm looking for. The people that work here are awesome! Always friendly and helpful. On certain days of the week u can get things for free. Like bread and veggies that people have brought in out of their gardens. They also have the food pantry here so if you need a little help with food for your family they can help you. This is also the place you go to apply for energy assistance and alot of other things the community has to offer for assistance. The hours are reasonable and there isn't hardly any waiting. I'm glad we have this place in our community.”

“I visited Second Hand Rose, while I was on my way to Wisconsin. We found this cute little town and spent many hours there ! I bought winter boots at The Bootery, and we checked out this cute resale store while there ! That vintage cash register was something to see !Hopefully I can return and stay more than a few days in Winterset next time.”
“What a special place. I went in yesterday to find a small cast iron to cook on a propane stove and, wow! I found a great pan, a cool "house" for matches, bottle openers and a fork tong. Had to work today so wasn't able to go back but may try before I leave town tomorrow. A true gem. Oh! And least I not forget! The owner was so gracious and informative. I learned even more about owning cast iron. This place is ver special.”

“I went to White Cottage Market for the 1st time today and thoroughly enjoyed looking around. They have many cool and unique pieces, I went home with a few but would have loved to take home many more! The prices seemed much more reasonable than the local antique shops. Upon hearing it was our 1st time to Winterset, the owner provided us with a business directory and highlighted some shops that she believed would be of interest to us- much appreciated. I will definitely be back!”
