About Great Plains Theatre
Great Plains Theatre is a small and dated theater, but the quality of the performance rivals almost any other. The professional cast is wonderful, with talented young ladies and fine arts students who interact with the audience. The acting is wonderful, the singing is fabulous, and the voices, facial expressions, and dance are beyond expectations. Plays like Church Basement Ladies, Hello Dolly, and Nunsense are great plays that keep audiences totally engaged. The entire audience has stood and applauded for minutes after a terrific play. The theatre is small enough for an entertaining experience. It is highly recommended for anyone in Abilene or close by.

Oh my goodness we had the best time. We saw Church Basement Ladies. I haven't laughed like that in a long time. GREAT PLAY!!

Wonderful, professional cast. They interacted with the audience and the theatre was small enough so we were entertained with the customers. Great play. Church Basement Ladies play. Couldn't be any more professional. Highly recommend seeing this when you can.

First time here, and while the theater is small and dated, the quality of the performace rivals almost any other I have been to... If this was closer than 3 hours from home I would have to get season tickets!
