Felt taken advantage of…
We went in and thought things would be fairly normal and for the most part it was. However at the end when we wanted pay our tax bill through payments the people there had said that they haven’t done that and had to figure it out there in front of us. I would think a tax expert would know how to do this.
The second issue we had was that we had a tax form for a rolled over retirement account. Everything seemed routine until the end when the HR Block charge was much higher than expected. They told us it was because of the retirement form they spent maybe 30 seconds doing. They never informed us of the extra charge of $165 and went ahead and did the work.

I had a terrible experience with H&R Block. We attempted to communicate through email and even though we live in the 21st Century, this means of communication was far too advanced for H&R Block. This resulted in our business taxes being filled late resulting in a fine from the IRS. H&R Block has refused to help in any way let alone apologize for their shear neglect. If I were you I would stay as far away from a company that clearly cares very little about the individual and capitalizes on quantity of customers rather than quality care. Spend the extra money to use a local tax person and have a peace of mind that you’ll get what you pay for. H&R Block and by extension, their employees, don’t care about you.
