HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, was out for weeks because another company cut the line. Finally got someone out to fix, yet it’s every single day fighting to have internet. I know the ladies at our hometown office are amazing but the company itself is horrible. Please do better.

The cable line has been down in my yard for 20 days now. A tree limb fell on it and disconnected it from the pole around 3am on 4/1. I reported it online one hour later and the message I got said 7-10 days which is unacceptable because I work from home a lot. On day 12 I called, spoke to someone who was likely in a foreign country that I could barely understand and they said they had no record of it but submitted a "ticket". 8 days later for a total of 20, no one has come out. My account is now past due because they're still billing me and I refuse to pay it. No phone calls, no nothing. I guess l have to get new service with someone else.

Update: 10 months ago i switched from century link to mediacom. When i switched there was some confusion on billing and the specials that was being given at the time. The lady at the office did a wonderful job explaining things and fixing the issue but After getting service installed i was promised that they would come out and take care of all lines on the ground. They have closed the work order out many times and have left this line on my lawn. I have called many times and they say they're sending someone out but nobody ever shows up or calls me or anything. When I call in to find out why they always give me the same answer and the answer is the order has been completed and closed out. The pictures I provided sure don't show a completed job. Maybe it's because I live way out in the country and we aren't as important out here as the rest of the world but when you get complaints from the neighbors about getting this taken care of and fighting with one another about throwing the line in eachothers yard so we can mow is getting very tiring... it would be nice for someone to contact me as to why thus isn't being taken care of, who's line it is, where it came from, even if it's not your line would be wonderful but to tell me that the drop has been buried and work order closed is a load of garbage!! If there were a better option for cable/internet I would for sure go somewhere else. Until this town catches up with the rest of the world I'm stuck with you.

Slow, unreliable internet, fixed IPs, outrageous prices for 2023, 3 weeks for a downed cable line to be repaired. If they weren't the only choice in the area they'd be bankrupt.

Worst internet I have ever used, they claim they provide "gig speeds" but that is a complete hoax. With the provided modem I never got anywhere above 100mbps and constant crashing in any game that I played, got them to swap out the modem and it made no difference. Ended up going and buying a Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 with this I got speeds around 300mbps and stopped the crashing but still never anywhere near "gig speeds". I used to have rural internet through Centurylink with max speeds of 25mbps and it was FAR more stable than Mediacom, yes downloads were slower but packet loss/crashing and general stability was superior. In conclusion if you have ANY other option for cable or fiber internet in your area I highly encourage you to go with them.

Phone customer Service is poor. Internet is very intermittent. After a year and 6 months we finally had a decent tech actuall find the problem at the pole and the internet no longer is intermittently connected.

Chris from technical suppourt is top dawg! Ext. 5173. I can tell you what ever they are paying this guy isnt enough. The value of information i gained about internet and tech from this gentleman is tremendous! Had every answer and some for all my questions. The honesty, character, and knowledge speeks volumes to me as a potential customer. Just really poking around to see options but, mediacom i assure you is my front runner thus far. Thanks mr. Chris from tech support! You the man

Mediacom is a joke. Just upgraded our internet speed and now I can't get any of my devices to hook up to the wifi! When you ask customer service for help they tell you there isn't anything they can do about it!! Horrible connection horrible customer service. over priced for what you get! Don't recommend for anyone!

Don't get me wrong, the people here are great. When you call the customer toll free number, they don't seem to care if they want your business at all. Mediacom needs to understand, there are options and people will do that if they aren't treated right.
