I have never been in the store yet I want that Alien that is outside. I have sent my wife in to see if its for sale and it is not. Next time I am that way I have to stop in. My wife and mother stop by several times a year during their trips.

The usual story of “went to Cawker City for the ball of twine, stayed for Eyegore’s”. We were greeted outside by a cat riding a dog, who led us to Eyegore, who was more than happy to give us a detailed tour of every specimen in his display - from Count Cluckula to the famed Luchadeer and everything in between.Eyegore certainly has a passion for what he does and this place is his pride and joy. One of the top experiences of my US road trip!

Okay. This place is SO COOL and definitely one of the highlights of our recent roadtrip, and getting to check this place out was a total accident! We had went to Cawker City to see the ball of twine, and happened to see the sign for this shop down the block. We were intrigued and had to check it out! We get to the door, see it's closed, and we were pretty bummed. But then...the owner himself happened to be outside, spotted us by the door, and opened it up to let us come in and look around, which, I swear...only in Kansas. They are all just the nicest people! Anyway....this shop is packed to the brim with tons of interesting and unique items, and all of the items have a story, which the owner is happy to tell! The owner was just so nice! Very friendly, funny and personable. If you're ever in the Cawker City area, I highly recommend checking this place out!

We had such a fun time here! There is no admission fee to check out their amazing collections of oddities! Of course they have some cool Wizard of Oz themed items, but also Harry Potter, superhero, and old school monster paraphernalia. Be sure to check out the baby rattlers they keep in a barrel; just remember that baby snakes are often more poisonous than full-grown snakes. We were fortunate enough to see Wonder Woman’s invisible plane that he had outside! The owner was very informative and even suggested other places to check out during our trip. Side note: try the blackberry and cream soda in the glass bottles!! You won’t regret it!! I would definitely stop by here again!

If the journey is about the friends you make along the way, then Eyegore's is the reason to journey to Cawker City, Kansas. Come for the free twine, and stay for the warmth, humor, and creativity of this 'museum.' A great selection of merch as well that will make your friends say, "did you really go out of your way to see a ball of twine?"

We love the totally random events in our travels. We simply meandered into Cawker, KS because we hate interstate highways. Lo and Behold! The world's biggest ball of twine! So we stopped and checked it out. Walking back to our car, the owner of Eyegore's Odditorium, who was sprucing up the exterior of his business, gave us a friendly salutation. He was such a nice fellow, giving us all kinds of cool recommendations for sights to see in that area, which we heeded and thoroughly enjoyed the remainder of the setting sun hours that evening. His biz was closed for the day, and we were travelin' on for the West Coast, but I swore I'd write him a good review, because I'm a weirdo at heart. I believe the other weirdos out there reading this would enjoy checking out Eyegore's Odditorium, and chatting with it's very jovial proprietor. Cheers!

I had a great time today visiting Matt and Julie at their oddities shop. Matt is quite the jokester. Go check this place out if you get the chance. Great people. Great conversation. Watch out for the human eating parakeet though; it's flying loose around Cawker City. I don't know how it got out of that cage.
