Below is the complaint I submitted to usps about James. It explains the story and I don’t want to change the wording to fit for a review
I had a package delivered there under general delivery. The package was ordered from Amazon and they had it delivered by ups. The package was 77lbs.
Upon my arrival James was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He started off by telling me they did not have to accept my package as it was over 70lbs. I then said I called weeks ago and spoke with him specifically to confirm this post offices regulations for general delivery and I was not informed of this. He went on to say I should not be “giving him attitude” as he could have charged me over $300 for the package. He then goes on to say that they do not have to accept package over 70lbs and they also do not accept delivery from ups. Then accuses me of rolling my eyes at him which even if I did he is not my father and has no authority on what I do with my own eyes. That was completely unprofessional. I’m in utter shock by his uncalled for behavior that I take the package in leave.
In my car I look online for all these rules James has told me. The only thing I can find is regulations on packages usps will be shipping not any on ones delivered under general delivery or to P.O. Boxes. I also read on the usps website that if a package over weight is picked up from the same location it enter the usps service there will not be a fee. So based off that he is in fact lying and cannot charge me for the weight and was just threatening me. I also read no information about not being able to receive ups packages under general delivery only that ups cannot deliver to a PO Box so also another lie.
Due to his complete rudeness I had forgotten I had also needed to pick up a smaller letter under general delivery. When I entered the office I could clearly hear James speaking to an older lady worker about our encounter which is also extremely unprofessional and just plain unnecessary.
After asking about my letter I asked James where I would be able to find those regulations he had listed for me since I wasn’t informed of this when I called in and I received mail this way across the country as I travel a lot. James then said I would find them on the usps website under general delivery. I showed him I had those rules pulled up on my phone and none of which were listed. He then went on to make some very rude remarks for several minutes and the older lady chimed in stating the weight regulations were listed on a different page of the website. Which as I stated above the only thing I was able to find was about packages being shipped by usps not anything under general delivery.
These two employees need to be retained on the regulations and they need better manners. I have never encountered a more rude individual than James. He seems to be on this power trip that he controls everything and should really be taken down a few pegs.

Whoever the balding guy is & who doesn't wear his uniform, James I think, is completely out of line. We stay at the RV Park in town and ordered 2 packages at the same time. The first package got held at the office and they told us that the owner of the RV Park has a PO box so we would need to get one for future reference. But Jack was super nice and gave us the package. The owner of the RV Park was well aware we got these 2 packages and was completely fine with it. We stay at parks all over for work and have never had a Post Office act like this.
The second package said delivered so we went to the Post Office to check on it. James must have been in a bad mood today or he just wakes up every day in a terrible mood. He raised his voice and said he wouldn't help us and we need to quit wasting his time. Gave us the sales pitch for how to get a PO box.. Jack already explained that and this was all supposed to be in the same order but this last half got delayed. We are only in town for maybe 1 more week.
There's a right way and a wrong way to handle this and his customer service was not there. He literally tried to make things as hard as possible.
He could've just said the owner of the RV Park needs to get the package but he came out at level 10.

The postmaster is amazing, and is the reason this review is getting any stars at all. I work in Garden, and he has been great about working with me even after hours (by 15 mins). The reason this is not a five-star review is because the postmaster is not always there. I am fuming as I sit and type this a mere eight minutes after the post office has closed. "Sorry, we're closed." I literally got here as fast as I could. "My scanners are already off." I work in Garden. "We're closed."D!¢k!

This place is always solid. Lots of people give the post office guff, but I've never had a bad experience here. Like most places, it's spotty over lunch, but other than that, great place to do business.

There are one or two good workers. The rest, especially one Mennonite woman, who is the rudest and most out of line worker I've ever come across in a post office. Lazy, lazy and lazier. They do not even sort at this facility and it still takes up to two days to get a package AFTER it has arrived at their facility. Very small town post office so there is NO excuse for this kind of work performance. Very, very rude. Will be writing a formal complaint to the BBB and government channels about some of the workers there. Worst post office ever. F-
