I’m new to Derby and have used this branch numerous times. All of my visits have been great because of the amazing customer service the tellers have. The management here is top notch. This branch is awesome !!!

Went in today to open a savings account for my mother,Went in and wasn't even greeted when I walked in. (There was 2 employees chatting in the entrance w someone else).I seated myself waited a couple minutes then a lady at the first cubicle came to get us. The other guy walked around me went to his office and shut the door. Well I told her what I went in for. She said "well let's get this done I have 30 min, I have to leave early for an appointment".I stopped following her and said I mean if we are going to be in a rush or you have to go then I can leave or see someone else.She said no no it shouldn't take that long anyway.Did I open the account? NoWill I be going back ? NoI also wanted to open a reg checking account for myself. Did I do that? NoRude rude rude.Hate this location!

The customer service is friendly at the counter, but the banker at the Derby branch was terrible. I went in with a Power of Attorney to change my Mother's account from being in her name into the name or her trust. They told me the banker was out to lunch, and to come back in an hour and a half. I did. I waited about 15 minutes for my turn, then worked with the banker for 45-50 minutes until closing time. At 5, she told me this would take another 20 minutes and that I'd have to come back tomorrow to work with a different banker to finish up. I explained the urgency of our situation and that I'd been there earlier, and she again said she couldn't finish the process. My mother died the next morning. I wish this melodrama was not real. This happened 23 days ago. Now, they've frozen my Mom's account, (I assume due to the me notifying the credit agencies of her passing, but not sure how they found out as we didn't report it to them due to fear of them freezing it), so that her autopayment of things like her eclectic bill are being rejected. I've called customer service numerous times now and either get booted or get a busy signal, (perhaps since I'm calling from Germany?). "The call cannot be completed due to technical difficulties. Please try your call again later. Goodbye". Did not care to finish the process that would have allowed us to keep her account functioning past her death, but surely enjoyed a nice lunch. Can't reach anyone now. Their service is garbage.

Super friendly people! They always have a smile on their faces, they know most customers by name! They always greet me immediately and it's just a wonderful banking experience. Carly has the best smile!!! Mark always takes the time to ask me how I am doing. They are so very appreciated!
