At check in front desk girl not very knowledgeable as tourist we had questions. She spoke so low. Rooms had dusty ceilings and bathroom vents. Holes all over the walls. We had issues in our first room with loud bathroom vent noise that would not turn off. Second room was a tad bit better vents so dusty celling so dusty woke up with dust bunnies on me. carpet dirty lamp shades all tore up hole in the walls. Front desk people need some work on hospitality and the hotel I know is old but I've been to hotels over 125 years old and they are clean. Other room that are friends stayed in had a huge hole in the shower ceiling.

This is a great deal and also a place that has ambiance like no other in Dodge City. You’ll find a clean place to lay your head down here. If you spend some time with the memorabilia hanging throughout the hotel, you’ll be taking a step back in time to what Dodge City was like, back in the day. This spacious hotel is full of many hidden gems. It’s too bad that somebody stole the buffalo’s leg in the life- sized diorama out front. I sure hope it is returned.

This is a place that you should stay if you want to experience local flavor and history. The hotel lobby and our room were clean and pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel’s commons area has many recreational activities for you and your family to enjoy.Walkability: A sidewalk outside leads to many nearby and varied restaurants.

****So on the bottom is my original review****Sadly however things have drastically changed.I am a business traveler and stay in Dodge at least 25 nights annually. I have frequented the Dodge House for 10 years. I just love the history that is represented there. The problem now is with the current manager Morris. He is so unbelievably rude and unprofessional, I am literally at a loss for words to describe him. Please understand this is not something personal at all. I had witnessed him be nasty to other guests on several occasions but had never really had to deal with him until a few months ago. Look I am as laid back as they come. Seriously. Zero drama in my life. I can promise you I will sleep in the street before I go back to the Dodge House as long as he is there. This stinks because the current owner has really made a tremendous amount of upgrades to the property. Unfortunately it is what it is. ☹️Do yourself a favor pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.******I absolutely LOVE this place. It’s under new management and it shows!!! Hot tub is fabulous. Rooms are always clean*****

Great location but horrible service and even worse room. Was in my room for 20 minutes trying to talk myself into staying..until I saw multiple roaches, sat on the uncomfortable bed, and couldn't ignore the horrible smell. Refund was denied and I was out almost $100! I'd rather sleep in my cae!

When we first walked in the manager was very rude and seemed to be grumpy. When we walked up and into our room there was a nasty musk. We also noticed many disgusting marks on the walls. When we opened the fridge to see if it worked and it wasn't cold. There was also a unknown bug that ran under the fridge. Later on when we were waiting for a virtual agent we saw a roach on the wall. The inside pool also had a nasty film over. I'm surprised there wasn't any bed bugs..

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. February 3rd and 4th 2024. This was by far the worst hotel experience that we have ever had. When we checked into our 1st room. The toilet was leaking all over the floor. We were moved to the room next door which was filthy. Later, when we turned down the covers to go to bed, we discovered a burn hole (with ashes) about the size of a golf ball. We went to get new sheets and discuss the problem. They gave us the wrong size sheets. We finally got the right size and went to bed. The next morning, we met with the manager, whom promised to take care of the situation. When we returned several hours later, the room had not been touched. They then proceeded to replace the matress. While this was going on, my husband, dog and I waited in the bathroom for over a half an hour. When we checked out, we were charged full price and not given anything to compensate for the debacle. Not even an apology. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It should be rated as a zero.

Our room's door was left open upon arrival, and the ceiling displayed numerous water stains. Despite booking through a third-party app, Priceline, we were unable to obtain a refund for unused accommodations, despite assurances from the manager. Our party of 10 occupied three rooms, none of which were clean, they smelled awful. The overall condition of the hotel would provide a nice backdrop for a horror movie. Proceed with caution if considering a stay here.

My stay at this hotel was highly traumatizing, I felt like I was trapped inside the backrooms. The dinner area was honestly just disgusting, the chosen wall color was not giving, and the fade was just not it. It smelled very crusty musty in pool area and the scent traveled all the way back to my very room. Also, I felt very unsafe because there was revolvers hanging from the chandeliers, I mean who come with a design like that? I was worried that they would fire at any time while I was standing under them. I am also very disappointed that the arcade games and venting were not working. I was starving all night because the vending machines were not working. I slept in the cold through the night because the sheets were musty and soggy, and smelt just as bad as the pool room, almost as if the sheets where bathed in the pool. The craziest thing about my room is that the sink was outside of the bathroom. It was very saddening to know that everything I used then bathroom, I would have to walk all the way out to wash my hand. I will be giving 2 stars though instead 1 because it helped build my character and it felt romantical. So, thank you for that and please get good at running a hotel. I mean imagine not being pro at managing a hotel. You are a disgrace to the western times.Rooms: ColdnessNearby activities: touring the backroomsSafety: probably notWalkability: very much

The rooms we stayed in were incredibly musky with outdated rooms and very uncomfortable bedding. We rented 2 rooms for 5 kids and 3 adults, and in the morning were met with “pet fees” in the amount of 150$ per room. Mind you the rate of the room was 80$. Because we had 3 extra kids come swim with us that morning. They were incredibly rude and inhospitable. I hope the owner will handle this and reprimand their manager.

I sure wish I could give a ZERO for the service. Customer service was awful! We had 2 rooms one being a suite. We were swimming and then the very unfriendly manager came out to charge us with a $300 PET fee. Mind you we had NO pets, all because we were swimming and we ourselves have many kids. The manager then ran away when we asked to talk to him he wouldn’t talk to us. To say we were unpleased is an understatement!
