Went online and reserved a suite with a king bed as well as a queen bed family suite! My husband didn't realize the amount of people had changed and booked it. I went down to the desk because we only got a room with a king bed and was informed that is why you need to put the correct amount of people on your reservation. I paid for a room with a king and queen suite. Not how many people there is!!! Besides the mess up with the room, I will complain to the BBB because I want part of my money back, the toilet outside my window and the dumpster outside the other one tells you how ghetto it is!Noteworthy details: Like I said, watch it because they will charge you for one thing and give you less!!

All in all, a pretty average motel with above average pricing. My wife and I stopped in on a Monday night, and the room was $144. We had put in 700 miles, and we were too tired to look around a lot, so decided on what we thought was a good name in chain motels. We have a dog, and are used to paying $15/night extra. The charge here was $25. I understand they have to charge, but we have a non-shedder, and he never barks when he's in a room. The hot tub was ok, but I'm guessing it was barely 100 degrees, so it wasn't really very hot.The room was simply ok. Wifi was free and we got a strong signal. The breakfast was good, and included sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh apples and bananas, and the now-everywhere waffle maker. The desk staff was friendly and efficient.

We stayed here while relocating back to the Midwest. Jasmine at the front desk was so welcoming, informative and polite. After a long day that was what I needed most. She was so willing to help us with whatever we needed and was so kind to us! Rooms were great, no complaints here, we had a great stay and Jasmine was willing to help us after a long day of travel! Will come stay here when in the area again!

Very nice and clean room. Paula at the front desk was great she was doing double duty Tuesday morning, doing checkouts and making breakfast. The breakfast person didn't show up, but Paula did a great job until the manager could get there to

This hotel is conveniently situated on one of the bustling streets in Dodge City. The room was clean and spacious. Now, let me tell you about the continental breakfast. It was everything you'd expect, with a typical menu and the food stations were kept full with a selection of breakfast. As for the service, well, it was alright, nothing extraordinary, but I must admit, they struggled a bit when it came to adding my rewards information. The exterior of the building may not have been the most impressive sight, but once you stepped inside, it was a whole different story. The walls were pretty thin and I could hear my neighbors talking and every footstep from the floor above.Safety: I felt safe in this hotel.

Bed bugs! I stayed there last night. September 19th in room number 210. The room was disgusting and smelled But I had been driving all night. I woke up around 2 AM.And had been Bit and turned on the lights and saw one bed bug and then another. I immediately got up to leave and reported it to the front desk clerk who acted like it was no big deal. I ended up having to sleep at a rest stop and at this moment I am on the road driving and have called the manager of the hotel twice and haven't been able to get ahold of her. Do not stay there, do not stay there!

Stayed the night of 9/7/23. I routinely travel through Dodge City and stay at various hotels there as I pass through. The La Quinta is a good place to stay. The rooms I've stayed in there have been pretty good. In this case I was in a single King room that was rated as a "handicapped" room. It is not really set up great for a handicapped person, but I guess it is better than a regular room. It was quite spacious and the bathroom had a large "flush floor" shower which was quite nice. Very clean in all respects, and I looked. Pluses: lots of USB plugs, good location of outlets. The air conditioning worked well and easily kept the room cool even in 100* temps. Negatives: NO tissues in the room. No night lighting in bathroom, which some hotels now have. Bed was quite good. I do work when travelling and the desk was well set up for laptop use, and the desk chair was excellent - a real nice office rolling chair. Breakfast was as expected in a hotel, but not bad. Value for price was "as expected"....but not particularly cheap as compared to competition. Cheaper than the Holiday Inn Express, but not as nice....as I would expect.

Decent hotel currently doing renovations. Almost didant get a room as the renovations have messed up there online posting, so calling the front deat directly to verify they have rooms is recommended. room I was in wasn't to bad but I won't go into detail here. Staff was really helpful as we had to get our keys re activated daily they seem to be more sensitive on being wiped than most places I have stayed. Would definitely stay here again though.Food & drinks: Lots of choices on food within walking distance!

I had a confirmed reservation for weeks before arriving. When I did arrive, I was told my reservation was cancelled and told to leave. I have never been treated by a hotel as poorly as I was treated here. I tried three other hotels, all full. Going West from Dodge City there isn't a place to stay until close to Santa Fe. I finally found a room at $130 more per night. I have the paperwork to prove all of this. I understand that sometimes a reservation isn't a guarantee, like during a disaster, but it was the attitude of the clerk that really made me want to warn people not to count on this hotel.

Great value for your dollar. The lobby is beautiful, the staff friendly and the rooms are clean-clean-clean. Breakfast was amazing, with Alfreda (our gracious hostess) making sure the eggs and sausage were fresh and piping-hot, the biscuits and gravy ready to go, and restocking the fresh fruit and yogurt. The hotel is a half-mile tops from the Boot Hill Museum, which we LOVED. The Gunsmoke Room and fenced-in remains of the old Boot Hill Cemetery are easy to miss -- don't! We all enjoyed the noon gunfight and the colorful characters-actors who bit the dust (and miraculously revived at the Sheriff's offer of free whiskey). A tip of the Stetson to Dodge City!

Sheets and shower seemed clean. Carpet stained. Man at front desk had definite attitude. Bed was not comfortable. Certainly not worth the money.

We were just driving through but we needed a place to stay for the night. We picked this hotel because there was a complimentary breakfast. My wife and one kid went swimming while my other kid and I went to pick up food for dinner. Everyone slept very well. Breakfast was okay, but you can’t be too picky about a free breakfast. There was enough of a variety that we weren’t hungry when we left.
