“I absolutely love antiques, and I love them even more when they are inside an antique building. This building is great (built in 1907), and as soon as you open the front door the smell of lignin degrading is overwhelming, what a wonderful smell!! That's the smell of really old wood. :) This place is great, I actually saw a few items I have never seen anywhere else, like the wedding hats. Fabulous selection of old chairs, appliances, farming implements, kitchen gadgets, vintage clothing, record albums, and it goes on and on. I enjoyed the Emporia State sports museum that fills a large room, with old jerseys, letter jackets, balls, mascots, and you would just not believe what is in there. This antique store is the kind I would like to visit on a dark and stormy night... it is beautifully fun and creepy... especially with the creaky floors. Definitely stopping by the next time I am in Kansas. Stop by, you'll love it.”
