While the overall fairgrounds is what you’d expect out of a fair. Parking was decent even at 6:00pm. The derby was terrible. I’ve been to plenty over the years and this was the worst by far. 1 hour and 45 minute round trip. $15 per person, for an hour and a half event. Total let down. Will not come back again. Complete waste of time and money.

Didnt think.to bring cash and boy was that a mistake. Couldnt even buy ride tickets or snowcones with a card which is all my three year old wanted. Long lines at the ATM that Id need to wait in before getting in another long line for tickets before getting in third long line for a ride. No thanks! We played in the free corn pit for a bit and went home disappointed.

Flat track racing started two and one half hours late. Worst flat track race organization.

I went early in the morning to avoid the Heat and the crowds none of the vendors were open yet I enjoyed seeing the horses and the 4-H crafts.

Spring HOAGBA Bird, Animal Auction, over 1,400 cages at auction with an impressive selection of poultry, fowl, rabbits, goats and sheep. Peacocks, pheasants, chukar, ducks, pigeons, doves, emus, swans, a very nice selection of chickens and waterfowl in groups, pairs and individual sales. Venu is open barn with stadium seating giving a good view of the auction platforms. Farm supplies and cages auctioned first followed by required single donation of each registered seller for HOAGBRA College Fund, then bird sales begin. Well run, efficient auction process, checkout and retrieval of purchases. Food truck on site, Porta potties, no indoor facilities were available.

So great to have the fair back again for some normalcy! Loved seeing all the crafts and entries in Grange building, etc. The horse barn was well done and all the riders very helpful and willing to share their knowledge.

Weather was super hot but overall not too bad. Was thinking it would have been a bit bigger with more booths and games for smaller kids.
