I had a package of drink mixes, post office took a knife and slashed right through it what a mess. AND STOP PUTTING PACKAGES IN MY MAILBOX THAT CLEARLY DONT FIT.

I very much dislike USPS. They are less than helpful. I can't get ahold of anyone at my local USPS and the customer service number is also impossible to speak to an actual person. I was trying to navigate their obnoxious phone system and was just hung up on. Why is it so difficult to get someone to do their job and help with the mail.
If I can avoid sending or receiving something via USPS I always choose the other option. Absolutely terrible service all around!!

New staff members have completely transformed this PO from adequate to outstanding. We have had some important packages get misdirected up the pipe (the KCMO is under review as one of the worst PO hubs in the country) and these fine folks have bent over backwards to help us get things straightened out. The surly white guy is gone! New faces have arrived with a positive attitude toward customer service with a friendly and professional disposition.

I've been to a lot of post offices. I like the small ones that still do general delivery when I can't get to my 3 mail service facilities. As a logistics nomad they are a dying but still great need!
This is the 2nd best/fave of those states!
These 2 dudes don't even mean to be as naturally vibrant as they are. Making jokes and organically bonding with customers.
As a stranger in this town I appreciate that!

If I could give them negative stars I would. I have never had an issue until now. Whoever does my residential mail is absolutely unprofessional. I was left with a personal letter in my mailbox by them about me supposedly not checking my mail from 5/5-5/16 which is incredibly inaccurate and I have ring evidence to support my claim. I checked my mail last week. (Have it on the ring camera) there was no note. When I went to check my mailbox tonight (5/29) there was a note about a false claim about not checking the mail since beginning of May. This means that whoever the mail carrier is lied about the date and lied about me not checking my mail. Very unprofessional behavior.

I work from home and was expecting a car title. USPS Driver out of the gardner location left a note in my mailbox saying they couldn’t reach me as I was not available at the time of attempted delivery! I expected driver to pull in my driveway, but nope they didn’t even try! Watched this from window of my front home office. Lazy lazy lazy!

I refuse to ever take a load there again! I got there at 10am and didn’t get out till after 5pm. I was actually somewhat lucky because there was a driver that checked in at 8am and I was unloaded faster than him. Do yourself a favor and don’t take a load there.

There have been 4 things in the past several months that we have NOT received and paid for that were delivered by the Gardner, KS post office! We have paid a total of almost $90 in merchandise that we have not received! We were told that unless we paid the extra for having it mailed certified (paying extra) then there's NOTHING they can do! This specific mail carrier says she "remembers exactly where our mailbox is and everything she delivers to us gets put in the correct mailbox or locker box" give me a break! If it was their money and their purchases they were making and not receiving the product they wouldn't be very happy either! This mail carrier forgets her handheld on top of the mailboxes, even left it on the ground and almost ran of over! Then while dealing with the people in the post office if you try to call them and explain what's going on they "check it out, put you on hold, argue with you, talk over you then eventually hang up on you! So this is the only type of people that the USPS can have to work then they just need to close the whole place down and everyone who delivers comes from Amazon, UPS or Fed Ex! There's no way of paying for certified mail when you order through Amazon!
