Great Bend Rec owns and operates The Activity Center, a multi-use facility that provides quality programs to improve quality of life and the community. The My BackYard Playground is an inclusive playground that balances physical accessibility, age and developmental appropriateness, and sensory-stimulating play for children of all abilities. Great Bend’s newest destination playground features the latest in playground equipment, a 1/8 of a mile walking trail surrounding the playground, a sensory garden area, open green space for activities and plenty of shade and seating, which makes this a family friendly playground that engages all family members. In May of 2024, a Ninja course and Rock Wall was added to the playground. Wi-Fi available.
