Super 8 by Wyndham Great Bend is a newer-build hotel with a good location within walking distance of Walmart. Reviews frequently note that rooms are clean and spacious, with very comfortable beds. The overall place often smells clean. Staff reception is sometimes described as nice and willing to go above and beyond to help guests, including accommodating room change requests. However, several significant drawbacks are reported. Rooms can sometimes smell highly of dog urine or horribly of cigarette smoke. Breakfast is consistently a disappointment, described as cold, lacking diversity, and often running out of items like coffee, eggs, sausage, or bacon with no staff around to replenish. Other issues include a steep price, malfunctioning amenities, disgusting stained furniture, very loud slamming doors, and poor customer service instances such as early check-out texts waking guests and unavailable luggage carriers. While some guests would recommend it or found it one of the better Super 8 hotels, others state there are better options nearby and would not stay again.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The only thing wrong was the room smelled highly of dog urine, we went to Walmart to purchase carpet freebreeze to help with the urine smell.

Clean, spacious, good location, nice receptionist!
Could be more diverse with breakfast, overall would recommend.

We showed up with our 4 small kids and needed a last minute room. Amanda went above and beyond anything we could expect to help us all settle in. We won’t forget that experience.
