Broadway Automotive is a 5 star shop,The staff is amazing to work with and just great people. Our van started to misfire a few miles out of Hay’s on our trip from Alberta Canada to Oklahoma city. So we stopped to get it fixed asap, Luckily broadway automotive had the time to diagnose the problem right away and get it fixed so we could get back on the road. I couldn’t thank the staff enough for helping us out and getting the van fixed so fast. He even came to pick me up after the van was fixed so I didn’t have to walk from the hotel to get it. Jeremy got my car back on the road. Quickly diagnosed bad spark plug and got it put in with no appointment to get us back on 900 mile trip.Friendly, affordable, honest and prompt. Great automotive repair experience.

Do not recommend! Went to get freon put in and a recharge of my AC. They stated my compressor wouldn’t turn on. Charged me $170 for a recharge and freon and my AC blew HOT air when i left. They also stated they couldn’t look at the high/low pressure switch because they didn’t have a lift available. Why a lift was needed who knows. My dad(mechanic of 20 years) looked at the car right after and they unplugged the high/low pressure switch wire which is why the compressor didn’t kick on. Also remind you, it did not need to be put on a lift for this. Plugged the wire in and works fine! I had to go somewhere else to get Freon and my AC charged. But i was charged for all that! The only good thing i can say is they got my car in quick, aside from that nothing good to say. Paid money for no service.Service: A/C installation & repair

Five stars for this place. Car blew water pump just 4 hours into a 10 hour trip and this was the first place we called and they said they had time to look at it immediately. The mechanics were so friendly and helpful. The fix took only about 3 hours but we had to leave my car there to make it to our destination in time and they were completely fine keeping it with no fee for only 4 days. There is a fee after 7 however. I was very happy with the service, the availability and the speed they were able to get this done. We were headed to Colorado and had the water pump go out just before Hays. Had it towed here and they got right on it and got the job done. We grabbed a rental to continue on our trip and they held it for us until we came back through Hays after our trip. We live in Kansas City so I doubt we’d ever have to use them again, hopefully, but highly recommend. Very friendly and courteous service.

We want to thank the wonderful people of Broadway Automotive for their service and care they gave us concerning our Honda Civic that blew an axle while we were driving through Hays...a completely unexpected repair when we’re were trying to get out to visit our daughter in AR. Besides quickly diagnosing the problem, they personally drove us to the car rental company, kept our car for a few extra days while we were out of state, and even helped out after-hours to be sure we were squared away as we came back through town on our way back to UT. The service and repair were fantastic, the price was honest and fair. We will always have a fondness for Hays, KS and Broadway Automotive for rescuing us during a tough week this past Christmas season— we cannot recommend them highly enough!Services: Steering & suspension repair

Great auto shop. They were able to get my car in quickly and had it fixed up quickly as well. They went above and beyond with the repairs and even took the time to show me everything and explain what the problem was; treated me very well. Did the problem get fixed, yes...pretty quickly, yes. But here's the problem and I'm sure it's the same at many mechanic shops, the honesty and transparency with the bill. First, I was called with a quote of a certain amount which was to include the part, labor and taxes. I said, ok go ahead and do it. I received a call a little over two hours later saying it was ready. Still in the end I was billed for 3 hours of labor at $100 per hour. Hmmm. Second, apparently the tax was not in the quote because there was another $33 added onto my bill. And to top it off there is a 3% charge for using a card (fine I understand that), but that 3% charge was also charged sales tax, which I'm not even sure is legal. Anyway, the work is completed satisfactorily, I just warn others to check what you are paying in the end.
