Go elsewhere, there are other great tire shops in town. G&L damaged my spare cover then would not even refund the 25.00 I'd paid for a repair. See pics.I'd gone in because my front tire seemed to have a slow.leak. Allan said it had worn unevenly and they'd put the spare on. He said the spare had some checking and to 'watch it'. They didn't have a tire replacement.I went to Kansasland who inspected the spare that was now on the front and said I could drive it a week until they got me tires. They also checked the other tires and found 2 were low on air (apparently G&L will only look at the tire you're paying them to inspect). Kansasland was friendly, professional and very helpful.I went to the grocery store, but when I opened the trunk, I found items were strewn around, including a box I had oil products in - thrown on its side, which may have leaked, if any of the tops weren't on properly. We put the groceries in the back seat and headed home, phoned Allan and stated we were disappointed in their service and wouldn't be back. He said he'd talk to his guy. When we got home, we opened the trunk and took the strewn items out so we could straighten the mat, which was all disheveled. When we did so, we found our spare cover had been broken. The spare was improperly installed causing it to sit unevenly! See pic 1We took everything out, reinstalled it, (pic 2,)where it now sits flat again. Then called Allen. His immediate response? What do you want me to do about it??I stated I expected him to stand behind his work. He said that I had only spent 25.00. I responded that the cost of repairs should have no bearing on the cost of damages done by his worker. Then he said in 28 years I'd never been in there. Actually, I'd had tires rotated there once, but aren't we talking about what you'd damaged this time?He then said he'd done me a favor taking the tire off. Hmmm... I did pay for services.Anyway, I don't give negative reviews. However, theirs was such utter disregard for someone's property - the things in the trunk flung about, and the install of the tire thrown into the spare compartment, causing damage -- I felt others should be warned! This shop does not respect person's property. If you're the unlucky one whose car is damaged due to their neglect and disregard, you're out of luck!

$87.52 for an oil change is not what I’d call affordable and I’ve got my oil changed different places in Hays and it’s never been basically $90. $70 at most with changing a filter! I attached the receipt. I wouldn’t recommend for that reason.

Great place to get your car serviced! I had bad experience with Lewis Toyota of Hays KS but upon switching G & L Tire & Automotive Inc I have not had any issues. They do a excellent job in their profession and also are very good in price. I would recommend this place for car service and tire repair.

Good guys. We were traveling through from Colorado to Maryland and needed an alignment on the fly. They fit us in and got us on the road in under an hour and a half. Bonus was we found cool German bistro in walking distance to grab a bite while we waited

I went in for an oil change, and it costed almost $60 total (!) after all their little unexpected fees. They charged me $1.50 to "top-off" my windshield wiper fluid even though I just filled it recently (and it costs about $2-3 for a WHOLE bottle). They also charged me $3 for "misc. shop supplies" whatever that means. The oil change itself was $54 including the filter. And last but not least, they charged me $25 dollars just to plug in their machine to check my car's systems! I went to Lewis Automotive for an oil change last time, and it costed me $44 total and that included no charge for windshield wiper fluid, to plug in their machine, etc. Lewis checks every function of your car FOR FREE. I made the mistake of going somewhere else for this oil change.
