I'm not sure how they actually stay in business - must only sell to men. I've looked at two different vehicles here in the last 5 years or so, both times I've been annoyed with the outcome. The last one, a couple months ago, was a Chrysler van. Lower trim, nothing special - detailer did a terrible job as it was still grimy and had a ton of food and junk in the seatbelt areas and between seats, etc. Salesman told me every turn to take on the test drive, which I didn't care for, but whatever. I told him where I was on price, and he literally LAUGHED in my face and told me "there's no way, we're so far off from that price," so I asked where they would be, ready to negotiate. He proceeded to write down the sticker price plus all their taxes and fees, so it ended up being about $5k over sticker. I upped my offer and he laughed again, and again said there's no way, and he "couldn't even take that number inside because it's so low." We said our goodbyes and I left more than a little peeved. Three weeks later the same van was on the website for $2k under what I offered. Makes me wonder what the outcome would've been if my husband had gone instead of me. Needless to say I won't ever be tempted to try doing business there again.

I have always used Hays Chevrolet for all my GM vehicle repairs and had good luck with them...until today. My son was having problems with this 1996 Oldsmobile because of a check engine light and the car wanting to die. He is a college student and needs his car for getting too and from work off campus. I called and spoke with Travis in service. He told me their next available "diagnostic" appointment was 3 weeks to the day away! My son cannot be without his car for 3 weeks!!! A lot of these reviews are from people travelling through that got their vehicles in right away when they had issues, but they cannot take care of a local customer who has done business there for years!?!?!? I ended up calling Robert Brogden GMC here in Hays, and they were able to get him right in. I think from now on, all my business will be with Robert Brodgen GMC.

Went to parts service with a cracked PCV hose after getting directed from O-Riley’s. After ordering a PCV Valve, Cory went out of his way to take the cover parts off and check it out himself to make sure it was the right part. After informing me that I only need the hose line, he changed the order. Even though the part was unavailable from GM he went ahead and canceled it and said he would call around for the used part and even offered a solution how I could do it myself. Saved me money and went above and beyond to get me exactly what I needed.

One of the easiest vehicle trades I have made in the last thirty years. Sales staff dtd what they said they would do. Would recommend them to anyone as I plan on going back when looking for next vehicle.

While traveling from Kansas City to Colorado for a medical procedure, one of my tires blew out on the highway. Luckily it was in Hays and I was able to make it to the Chevrolet dealership. I was by myself and a little shaken up when I pulled into the service department, but Garrett very kindly greeted me. They did not have the tire in stock for my vehicle, but Garrett offered to put on my spare for me so I could make it to a tire store down the street that might have it in stock. Garrett and his team also aired up my tires and rotated the spare to the back to prevent problems steering. When I went to pay for these services, Garrett waved his hand, declined my money, and told me it was no problem. Being alone with car trouble far from home was scary and stressful, but Garrett’s team demonstrated uncommon kindness to a stranger, and I was able to make it home safely. If looking for a service department that is kind, courteous, and expedient, look no further. Thank you Garrett and Hays Chevrolet!

While traveling across Kansas we experienced some engine problems on our 2018 truck. We limped it into the closest service center, which happened to be in Hays. They pulled our truck into the shop immediately upon arrival and had a diagnosis within 15 minutes. 45 minutes later we were back on the road. Dealing with vehicles issues while on vacation is stressful but the staff at Hays Chevrolet made what could have been a long and painful delay into a quick, friendly pit stop.

I was traveling yesterday from Denver to Sherman, TX with my two kids. My Camaro was having system issues and died on the highway. I was able to get it to this dealership. As a mom stranded 7 hours away from home with my kids, I was beside myself. I had already been at a dealership the day before in Denver fixing what I thought was wrong, only to have the issues continue. Ryan in the service department found the problem with my vehicle and had us back on the road within two hours! Considering I came in without an appointment, they were considerate to my situation and started working on my vehicle right away. Ryan knew exactly what to do and I was astounded by how quickly he fixed it. The customer service at this dealership was beyond amazing! The team there is fantastic and I will forever be grateful. Thank you so much! Ryan needs a raise!! :)
