So I couldn't be more happy than I am with Dan cycles they did a great job Tom was very helpful he's runs the service just in the back I believe they were walking by me all the time asked me if I had everything I need and they was in and out on my tire and Harley-Davidson in less than an hour I believe it was really quick I would highly recommend van cycles to have a tire change or oil change or any other kind of service they offer I think that's the only ones they offer right now for the Harley but still it s very very pleased

Called to make appointment for tired. Said just come in. Went in waited an hour and then was asked if I could wait into the afternoon. I said no was told to come back next day and I would be taken care of. Went in next day service manager made sure I was first one taken care of and I was out in less than a hour. So good experience.

I am appalled at the way I was treated by Dan’s cycles.They listed a machine for sale and I called and asked to put a deposit it to hold it until I could get there as it was what he had been looking for.I was assured by a salesman that it was still available and they would hold it and that someone in finance would call to take my deposit shortly.After two hours and multiple phone calls later, a man I believe to be Dan (the owner) finally answered and told me that that someone else was on the way and they would not honor what they said.They seemed like nice people I am just very disappointed that I was lied to and willfully ignored.

Absolutely saved my bacon I will be coming back here for anything that I need for my Harley since Harley-Davidson told me to go by my tires someplace else and then Indian forgot twice to order my tires but these guys not only ordered them and got them put on in a very timely manner the atmosphere and professionalism between the parts guys and the service writer and the owner himself I will be telling everybody I know that they need to start dealing with these guys

Short description/TLDR: check tire production dates to avoid buying old stock.Mixed feelings about Dan's Cycle. I've purchased several things over the years and while prices are a little higher than other shops in this part of the state, it's worth it to deal with a smaller local company. Also, my overall experience with employees has been positive.However, the reason I'm leaving a 3-star review is because of the experiences I've had purchasing tires. Last year I needed a rear tire for my motorcycle. I called ahead of time to make sure that they had the size I needed and arranged to bring in my wheel/tire to have the new one put on. When I dropped mine off, I asked if I could check the tire out. When I looked it over, I noticed the production date was from 10 years prior. Unfortunately, it was the only tire in stock for that size and everything else was on backorder. I wanted to do business with a smaller shop that was more than likely feeling the effects of Covid, and also needed a tire, so I opted not to wait on another. I ended up biting the bullet and buying the tire even though it was an old one.Fast forward to this year (2023).This year I decided I would replace my front tire. Again, I called ahead to verify stock and get price quotes. I decided on a tire and again made arrangements to drop off my front wheel. Again, I asked to check out the tire beforehand, and surprise, it was 9 years old. I politely declined that tire and asked if there happened to be any others of that size in stock. When I asked this, one of the service guys tried to tell me there was no way the tire was that old, even though I was looking right at the production stamp. I pointed out the stamp, and he proceeded to tell me "there's no way that's right. Must be a mistake." I still declined and he grabbed a different tire. The next tire he brought out was 11 years old. When I pointed that out he again tried telling me that the production code "must be wrong since their invoice showed they received that tire 30 days ago" and that "there's no way it's that old." Now, I do realize that tires stored in decent conditions can last a long time. However, if they truly did only have that tire for 30 days, there's no way to know the conditions in which it was stored for the first 11 years.I'm not the most risk-averse/cautious person, but I do take my equipment safety seriously in regard to my motorcycle. Also, I left Dan's Cycle with a bad taste in my mouth after seeing the dismissive nonchalance about concerns of buying old tires and flat-out being lied to. I left with the feeling that this place is buying discount parts/supplies and selling them at new costs. I really prefer to shop with local places, but these issues were enough to deter me from doing business with Dan's in the future.
