Simple and clean. The bed is comfortable, and all the locks work as they should. There is parking for vehicles pulling a trailer. There is a Sonic next door, but that's not really a plus unless your starving.

Because the manager would not let us check in early. She is very rude and shouldn’t be in a position to deal with the public. I tried to check in and was told couldn’t until 3PM and I understand that but she said they were full and that was a lie. There were only 2 cars in the parking lot mine and I assume hers. Also I asked one of the other ladies and they confirmed our room was available. I have been staying here for 5 years for hunting season for 10 days at a time and have never had a issue with checking in early if room was available. Also sense I couldn’t check in I decided to handle some other business. I unloaded the BBQ Pitt I always bring and left it in the picnic area. When I got back I found the BBQ Pitt at the dumpster. I got it and was carrying it back when the manager came out and proceeded to tell me that if I’m going to leave something I need to let her know or it’s going to the dumpster. Again in 5 years it was never a issue. I guess she wants everyone know she’s in charge of something. If your going to have rules post them most people aren’t mind readers. Again she was rude and will surly cost this motel some customers. My suggestion is replace her with anyone else. I have been in the customer service business for 33 years and she is in the wrong line of work. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful.Rooms: This stay was was great, We checked in there is a new manager who is awesome.. she was very helpful and made the stay great. Rooms were clean and the cleaning lady’s were very nice and check with us regularly to make sure we had plenty towels. The on reason for 3 stars on the room is the mattress are wearing out probably needs some new ones.

Really the only place to stay in Hillsboro. Simple, spotlessly clean, well maintained. Friendly kind staff. Good price and value. In room coffee, breakfast, convenient location near highway.

The breakfast was horrible and they won't except cash when you check out the bath towels were like wash clothes and the pillows were flat as a pancake. luckily I never have to stay there agian

It's a place to rest your head, but unfortunately, no one is ever around. A family member drove 5+ hours after speaking with the motel early morning to confirm arrangements. They said she could check in any time after 12:00pm. My son was also driving in to stay (from his college). He had no where to rest upon his arrival. (Upon 12pm arrival no employees could be reached, no bathroom available for guests other than in the room (which she couldn't get into). There was a sign stating no one was on site until after 3pm, so already tired, she had to drive to find a restroom in this rural town bc of no one available to check in as they previously stayed there would be.Other than check in/ communication problems, there weren't enough pillows or towels, and they were extremely small and uncomfortable. They didn't offer lotion or conditioner, one of the lamps was broken, and the coffee in the room was the most disgusting coffee my mom ever tasted (and she will typically drink any coffee available).There wasn't any fresh or healthy options for breakfast (they've had yogurt & fruit in the past).Unfortunately this was not a pleasant stay.It is the only place to stay in the town, and was relatively clean, quiet, and very easy to access, so I would recommend... just don't expect amenities or anyone to be around 24/7.

Nancy helped over the phone because and he called me to look for a place to stay in Hillsboro. So I Googled it and called Nancy and she helped me. After he got there and got in his room the television was not working, she went to the room to try to help with no prevail and she gave him a new room. He told me the room was clean and comfortable. Thank you Nancy for all of your help. We. Will be making a trip to Hillsboro at least once a month. So we will be staying with you again. Next time I will be with him once again thank you Johnny and Julie Tedrow

No complaint. Nice to see a little town with a hotel. A little odd to see no one at the desk after 10:00 p.m.

1. We had a reservation made for November 13, 2020. We checked our email to confirm. After a 10 hour drive we arrived to find NO ONE at the desk or answering phones. There were multiple signs around and we finally spotted one that says they CLOSE AT TEN. There was no phone call or information about this listed when we booked. We were absolute exhausted and didn't know the area at all. We checked the email confirmation and found in the text (no bold text or anything) that it closes at 10. We were in this little country town for my grandpa's funeral. Absolutely awful. We ended up having to stay at a motel.2. This evening we just got a phone call from the Country Haven Inn asking if we were still arriving TONIGHT. We were very confused. We looked back at our email that we had received on the 13th of November and it said correctly that we were checking in "today" and checking out "tomorrow" but incorrectly stated it was for the 27th and the 28th of November!!!!3. Now just for kicks, let's just say that we WERE going to be staying tonight. The phone call that we got from them came at exactly 9:02pm. Imagine. Finding out after a long exhausting day of driving that they close in just 58 minutes!! I suppose we would have been able to make alternative arrangements far better than the icky motel we stayed at. But is that in any way acceptable customer service? HECK NO! That information should have been given to us BEFORE we made the reservation or at the very least we should have gotten a phone call letting us know as soon as they saw us in their system.So NO. I CANNOT recommend staying at the Country Haven Inn. We are still so very upset over all this.
