We have banked with 9 banks within the last 25 years due to moves because no state that we moved to had the same bank as the previous state, unfortunately. I can say at least 6 of them treated us like we should be grateful for them. I always had to show my id and sometimes additional info and 90% of the time they never smiled or chit chatted or was basically jovial towards any customer i noticed. I actually left Peoples Bank in Hutch due to actually hating to go there because the employees didn’t seem nice or even pleasant and never smiled. We switched to First Bank Kansas and at once loved them and Every Single Time we walk in they all know me and my husband, never ask for id because they have it on there computer and always greet us by name the second we open the door. I actually enjoy going there and chit chatting with the tellers while they’re working on our transactions. And the new gal Sydney is so beautiful and funny and fits right in to their aura. I love this bank.

I just started up a bank account with them and the lady that helped me was wonderful had a smile walked me threw everything as wonderful as can be very nice and polite with a positive attitude with is a plus for me I will definitely recommend this bank

I been with first bank kansas since 2016 and this locations bank since 2018 ive never had a problem with them. When i lost my card on the east coast during the summer. they were able to lock it after i moved some cash to a different card (paypal). I would still be banking with them right now, but as of April 4 2024 i no longer live in kansas

I've spent the past year working with First Bank of Kansas regarding a family matter. I have to say, they have been, by far, the best banking relationship I've ever had. Lucas Bishop, in particular, has been the absolute BEST banking agent I've ever worked with. No matter the obstacle or the challenge, he was able to help find solutions and work toward a positive outcome. Above all of this, he continually demonstrated true care and compassion. I felt like family, not just a customer. If I lived closer, I would transfer every single banking account I have to First Bank Kansas and Lucas Bishop. They truly are a remarkable place to bank!

This bank will charge u for everything! i dont recommend. closed my account out yesterday and they charged my $10 to close it and they didnt even tell me. glad to be done with them. the only person there that actually cares about doing their job is miriam!

We would NOT recommend this bank for mortgage or loans. The only reason we used this bank was because of Amy, which she has since went to a new location. We will be pulling all our business from this bank very soon. The current staff at this bank have continually made mistakes regarding our loan payments. We recently built our house and were working on the mortgage through this bank, and have been forced to extend the closing date several times for multiple reasons. The mortgage officer is one of the most unorganized people we have ever met. We were constantly left in the dark on information regarding the progress of our loan process, and was hardly given any information we needed to finish. The lenders checked our credit, which was very high, and still made us put collateral down for our builders loan, then did not process a payment we sent in. Poor communication, we were treated like new customers every time we entered the bank, by almost all of the staff, even after visiting the bank several times a week.
