We've been with them since we moved here in 1993 and have had relatively no issues. They've greatly improved their phone service and getting a real person online which I'm so glad for. Overall we recommend them highly!

Fell on hard times. No real cares given. Talked to me like I was 12. I’m 45, I don’t need reminding of my financial obligations. Now going on 3 days with no phone call or email. Needless to say, switched banks.

Heartland requires that you "apply" for the privilege of accepting your money. I told them in very specific terms, I did NOT want to apply if it means having a hard inquiry on my credit file. I was assured that there would only be a soft inquiry. Unfortunately, they are so incompetent, they don't know the difference. I ended up with a hard inquiry, which lowered my credit score. I was approved, but chose not to open an account with a financial institution that is both incompetent and internally focused.

I would suggest not coming to this location after 4 p.m. and I would suggest not coming here if you aren't going inside, the drive-in area is incredibly slow, I waited there for at least 30 minutes before I finally got to the speaker and then when I talk to the speaker I had to wait another probably 5 or 10 minutes before the woman was able to help me. Now I don't blame them for being busy at all but I wouldn't want to wait in that line again especially since when she finally answered I could barely hear her or understand what she said and she ended the call before I could ask her so I had to figure out this Banking Machine that I've never have used before by myself. Of course it's simple, but no wonder it took everyone else so long. At least I had no issues besides those, but I reccomend the one on 23rd street. They are super fast and friendly everytime I go there, next time I rather drive across town bc it would be faster than waiting at that one on ave a.
