The store manager needs to find a new job or take some lessons in customer service, she's terrible!

On December 9, 2025, I went into this store to purchase a few items and experienced a very unpleasant interaction with an employee at the register. There was a simple miscommunication that could have been resolved easily, but instead the cashier responded in a rude and dismissive manner.
When I asked for his name, he refused to provide it. I also noticed he was not wearing any sort of uniform, name tag, or identification to show that he was a Dollar General employee, which made the interaction even more concerning. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, he claimed that he was the supervisor and that there was no one above him available to address my concern.
I am still hoping to speak with someone in higher management regarding this situation. Customer service and accountability matter, and this experience fell far below expectations.

Cashier gets mad if you have a cart full. Waits until you leave and then talks bad about you to the next customer. She said I help build up her tolerance. For what? Because you have a lot to check out? Rude and lazy.

The self serve machines taken down because of theft. So everyone else is inconvenienced because yall can't figure it out.

Employees are rather unfriendly. The manager gets super huffy if you ask her for assistance with anything. What stands out the most though is, products are pushed to the back of the shelf. Being a short person, that makes it difficult to reach anything or see what's on the shelf. Which leads to having to ask employees for assistance.

1816 Patriot Drive. I went to this dollar general today to pick up some last minute Halloween items and I had some candy I was going to buy but instead I saw some fruit roll ups and gushers so I was going to buy them instead so I put the candy on the shelf. The manager or cashier VICTORIA walked past me angrily and grabbed the candy and I said I'm sorry she just walked past me and didn't say anything and started to put the candy in another isle. I went up to her and I asked her if she was "OK?because she didn't say anything to me as I said I was sorry" her response was "I don't have to speak to you". I looked dumbfounded at her while another man heard this whole conversation from her and laughed at her for being so rude. I went up to her and said I needed to get one more thing and she argued with me that it doesn't matter if she's ok or not and that she doesn't have to speak to me at all. I wasn't rude or anything to her. I was really shocked and she knew that from my responses to her. She told me to never come back to the store again. She said there is 3 other DG in this town. I just don't understand why she was so angry. All I did was ask if she was ok? I am so upset. There was absolutely no reason for VICTORIA to act rude and tell a customer they don't have to speak to them at all in the store. I asked if she had another manager on duty and she said I could call the district manager his number is on the door. She acted like she didn't care if I called them. I went back in to get her name and she loudly and proudly said VICTORIA.

The products are very reasonable price! I've got some groceries. Usually I got little bit expensive price at the another grocery store.I was so happy to get in this store.They have a pretty large mount of products.Groceries, school supplies and decorates stuff!I also got the wooden pinches. I love to get good quality home decorations. Most of the items are inexpensive! I am happy to shopping in this store.The store is clean and the shelves are filled up! Easy to find a stuff. The parking lot is easy to park the car.Most of the employees were helpful and friendly.

One of the staff was a pest. When im at self checkout one of the staff was bothering me while I was trying to scan and purchase my items. If this happens again I'm never coming back.
