I have had a pleasant banking experience here thus far. Bryan Huey and Kim Sanders are professional and personable. They treat everyone with respect and patience while making you feel at home all at the same time. They are always willing to answer any questions you have. Jamie is nice and works hard at trying to get new accounts as do Bryan and Kim and they all maintain a clean environment for their customers.

Banking hours are getting ridiculous!!We work when you work!! Closed on weekends now!!! Not everything can be done at the ATM!!And a few of these reps are really rude!!

Not this branch but another branch proceeded to give my granddaughter a savings account and did not tell her that she was going to get charged $5 a month for getting a statement and did not tell her they were going to charge her $5 a month if she didn't use her debit card 12 times a month. She closed it down and went to commerce who does not charge her for not using a debit card.

This branch is the best branch in KC. LaVonda and Anayeli are always working here and they are courteous and professional yet friendly. It is so welcoming to find people who still care about customer service. I'm so grateful to drive out of my way to see these helpful faces

Well, I had a background check done by another bank which just so happened to have a past due debt owed to academy bank. I waited on hold for over an hour total. Was hung up on. Finally spoke to a lead named Dorothy, who instantly became rude and unpleasant even though I explained the insane amount of frustration that I endured for the last hour.. Put through the ringer to solely find out they had no idea the amount owed. Claimed it went to collections- FYI their "collections" is a department that doesn't deal with phone calls, and the only way I was able to pay the debt in "collection" was to go to into a branch, which apparently is their collections dept, to verify my identification. After I had already verified my SSN DOB and mother's maiden name. Yet somehow that wasn't enough to verify that it was me. Bless up to the good Samaritan out there calling in to pay on random people's debts! After spending over an hour on the phone and hold, I was able to track down a local branch on the phone. Which in less than 3 minutes had more information for me than the previous hour attempting to figure this out through the help center... the help center also stated with absolute guarantee that I could not pay over the phone. Well, turns out, you can. There's a particular individual in a few branches that can take payments over the phone. Here's my advice. Do not. I repeat... DO NOT waste your time with the 800 number. If possible try and contact the actual branch. They are friendly, helpful, and thankfully knowledgeable.

This is the worst place to bank. Go literally anywhere else. You'd probably be better off trusting a stranger with your money. How tf does a bank cause your account to be negative because they randomly decide to take out a "service fee"?? I'm so done.
