Last Monday, January 27th I went to this location 3 times to cash a check from my dentist office that was written from a BMO account. During the 3rd visit that day I asked to speak to a manager and a lady with glasses spoke up and said that she was the manager. The cashier was totallly fine so it’s not about her. It’s about the manager. Which I don’t think she was a manager. While I was there another teller came behind the counter. I saw her there earlier. The “manager” was explaining to her what was going on. Why I have no idea since she is not the cashier helping and she isn’t the manager, you are. She then takes the new teller to a room. More than likely to talk about me or explain why she isn’t going to cash the check. Still again, this teller had nothing to do with the situation. When they came out the manager explained there was nothing she could do. Also which I left out, I had the lady from the accounting department on speaker. She works in the accounting department of the company that wrote me the check. And said is there a director or manager that I can have my director contact as we’ve done that before.. the “ manager “ didn’t say a word and wasn’t willing to help. I even when the lady in accounting still on speaker phone said she got an email that the phones were messed up at the reception desk and all the receptionist is getting is voicemails. Still, nothing the manager could do. I had to go to a check cashing place to cash the check as my bank is online and I don’t have a physical bank to go to. I told the lady at the accounting office and she advised that I go to a BMO Bank. Once o told her I was at a BMO location she couldn’t believe it.
I called the customer service number to file a complaint and he said he put in my feedback. I told him I wanted to file a complaint and request reimbursement for the $214. To cash the check. I asked if he needed the check number or anything and he said no because he put it in as feedback and escalated it. I asked if I would get a phone call or and if so how long before someone will contact me. He said he put in my feedback and escalated it. Considering what happened with the “manager” and now the customer service rep, BMO please do better. I will more than likely file a BBB report to get my reimbursement since I have no faith in the customer service peocess

No drive through ATM? Not even one outside the building? Very inconvenient. They may be wonderful but I didn't actually speak with anyone because they were closed.

Kansas City, Missouri - Mercenary scumbags at Bank of the West, 5245 N.W. 64th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, 64151 deliberately withheld my own money from me in 2008 for months and caused enormous problems in my personal life and finances. There are no legal services in Kansas City or most parts of the US. I did not owe them money for a loan or anything else. They had no court order and there was no basis for one. Some of the funds were from VA benefits which are exempt from levy, attachment, or seizure. A judge in Kansas City told me that. It's in federal law. I filed numerous written complaints. I'm a Vietnam era veteran, a former medic. Thanks for the service Bank of the West, 5245 N.W. 64th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, 64151. I reported all of it to police in Kansas City, Missouri. One officer told me it was a civil rather than criminal matter, so the police did absolutely nothing. Sure seems like a criminal matter to most of us. It's almost impossible to get an attorney: Lawyers don't return phone calls or simply refuse to help you in any way. Except for a volunteer public defender, they're not required to work for anybody. Attorneys cherry-pick clients based on their arbitrary preferences whether it's for wealthy people, Republicans, red-haired people, or nobody at all. I had to do my own divorce in Kansas City once. I'm in my 60s now, but my deceased lawyer parents were both child-abusing thugs. One was a judge in Mississippi. If I hadn't gone to college I'd almost certainly be penniless and in prison on some wrongful conviction. The US has more people in prison than any country in the world. That includes China, which has over four times the population. RB

I've banked with Bank of the West for many years. This location on 64th St. in KC, MO is the worst. Their hours are crazy and closed several days a week. I need cash for Christmas gifts but the ATM will only let me have $300. It's my money and I can't get to it.

This bank has infuriating hours. Make it impossible for a full time working individual to do any banking. I’ve been banking here for almost 20 years and I will have to switch banks. One that is open more than 3 days a week.

Great people at the branch but worst bank I've ever dealt with when trying to contact customer service. Takes forever to reach a live human being and when you get one they can't help you and have to transfer you to another person who is never available

Employees are very friendly. But, the bank removed the drive thru ATM and put it inside the building, which I think is very inconvenient. The banking hours used be until 5:00 PM, but now they close at 4:00 PM. Most other banks are open until 5:00-6:00 PM. Can't reach anyone over the phone. Time to close the account for good.

They went out of their way to help when I was moving but did not have a new address at the time. They always remember me when I come into the bank.
