We reserved a car 5 weeks ahead of the pickup date. One of our party is handicapped and this was to be a rare and special vacation. We called the day before to confirm the suv would be there by 230. There was no suv there for us. The guy said we could have the small economy car he had. He was unkind, rude and lacked any kind of compassion. I now understand that enterprise rental agents are paid by the booking and therefore...and read the other reviews here.. they rent more cars than are available and are out of integrity and have a fraudulent system. BEWARE.

Now I know why this place is rated a 3.7
I got a rental from here from my insurance because mine was in the shop. I got the car and I always take a video of a rental just in case they tried to say I did any damage. The evening I got it I noticed a huge dent on the front fender .they were closed so I called the next day . While I needed to go on a short trip somewhere , why did I find weed in a sack in the car?🤣🤣🤣 I am not against weed but I thought it was hilarious since he swore they inspected and cleaned up the car before me getting it. So then when I call they say they knew about it….
Long story short someone from the insurance company gave me the rental longer than my policy allowed, totally their fault. Then, the insurance company said no problem, we will pay the remainder even though it exceeded. Why was a still dealing with enterprise not giving State Farm remainder balance invoice well after a month of returning? Istead they kept calling me for the money, like what? State Farm said they kept getting the run around and I totally believed it. I don’t know if they have a whole bunch of kids working there but why couldn’t they bill them all at once. Instead, State Farm had to pay the original $1,500. Then send me $200 to pay the remaining balance to enterprise. It was all a hot mess. When I go to drop the car they inspect it for at least 5-10 mins , I made the comment I wish yall inspected it when I picked it up & I explain the dent and weed. lol he asks what can I do to make it, right? I mean I don’t work for enterprise and was already pissed about the experience so I was just like uh idk. lol anyways don’t get a car from here, service is TERRIBLE , but I loved the car!!!!

Vehicle rental is the biggest scam. I will never rent a vehicle after several bad experiences. Fraudsters work here. The business model is based in scamming their own customers. Enterprise is the same as the rest. Never again. I own extra vehicles that sit because I never want to deal with Enterprise or any rental company again!
Fraudsters automatic reply:
"Response from the owner.
We would like to look into this further. Please email
[email protected] with your contact information, your reservation or rental agreement number and all the details of your experience. "
All BS!!!!!!

Don't let me reserve a car if you don't actually have any cars available! But you did have the decency to call when you opened instead of letting me show up, so the problem is probably with the head office rather than the people at this location.
ETA (reply to the company's response): That's not an open-ended reservation (which means that the *return* date isn't fixed). And nowhere in making my reservation did the system either use that term or say what you want it to mean (that the car I reserved might not even exist). Downgraded from 2 to 1 for lying.

Manager went in my acct changing my discount and it reversed the payment back into my acct. He called telling me something else and wanted to run the card again and I didn’t have the money there cause other things hit my acct. I told him he should have never went into the acct messing with the discount I had. His fault. He kept changing my modification date after I would extend it. Calling telling me I owed money and I explained I did my part right and he should be held accountable for messing up my acct. don’t understand why he was in my acct. I believe his name is David. When I talked to him he knew he was wrong so he would leave me alone then call back trying to get a payment. Kept telling him he was wrong and he left me alone. He tried again, I paid $24 on 8-26 for the last 4 days of the money and he changed it to 29th. I had to pay $12 to extend it back to the 30th and he called asking for the car back again. Threatening to start arbitration even though I told him I have the car til the 30th and have 2 confirmations. Not sure why he did all this stuff but this sucks just adding on to all the BS I been dealing with this year.

I just reserved a car through the app and seconds later received a call saying no cars were available. Use a different company that has a reliable reservation system.

Our reservations were cancelled twice without any notifications. Irresponsible and disorganized staff.

The first car they gave me had a tire blowout on the interstate - my fiance was merging from the left hand lane to the right (not aggressively. we take the same route every day). There are no curbs or pot holes in this section. The blowout caused him to lose control of the car and it went into a ravine and then back up the other side. Somewhere in there, a chunk of the rim got broke off and the undercarriage got mud/grass/dirt in it.
From here, we called for roadside assistance. They advised that we must move the car from its place before they would send anyone out. He slowly moved the car to a safe spot and we called again. This call took place at 7:34pm. They told me a tow would be sent out and would arrive around 9pm and to stay with the car.... which mind you, this was at Page and Admiral. I didn't feel particularly safe.
9:30 came and went. I called back to check the status and was informed that the driver had to take a different call before me and now it will likely be 11pm before they get to me. I advised them that I don't feel safe sitting with the car that late and that I wished to leave the car alone and that I need a replacement car. They allowed me to take the keys with me, leave the car, and go to the Airport location for a different car that they would have ready for me. I had my sister come and get me and we got up there around 10-10:30. The manager at that location advised me that they "are going to run out of cars" and therefore cannot give me one. I called back to the department that had apparently arranged the replacement for me and they advised there was nothing they could do for me and I would have to wait until morning.
Morning comes, I walk back to this Grand location to get a replacement. They provided me with a replacement and off I went. Not even one block away, a maintenance light came on the dash for rear belt and then they had the sunglass holder on the ceiling hanging open so I went to shut it and it just fell off.
That morning, I had to go look at my personal car that is in the shop, so I went and did that and then returned the car to this location and asked for a different car.
A different car was provided and it stunk like someone chain smoked blunts in it and on top of that, the oil change sticker was 11,000 miles overdue and the *tire rotation* is almost 3 months overdue....
I brought that one back (they told me the sticker is inaccurate).
Now, I am on my 4th car with them and they advised that there cannot be any other cars added on my contract or it voids my contract.
This car that I have now I thought was better but it has a knocking/banging noise that happens at low speeds and especially when you are reversing and then also the oh sh*t handle fell off when someone touched it.
Now, back to the original car, the one with the blowout. That is being filed as a claim against our auto insurance. I realize I didn't take out the extra coverage (which wasn't even discussed when I got the first one) but tires do not just blow?! I have ran over countless nails/bolts while driving and have never had a tire blow. That's the only thing they could possibly think we hit because again! THERE ARE NO POTHOLES, CURBS, OR CARS NEAR WHERE HE WAS MERGING. Make it make sense!
Judging by the other 3 cars I have received subsequently from this location, it seems they do not take great care of their cars. I feel like lack of tire maintenance more likely made the tire weak.
During our time with that original car, the low tire pressure light, or any light for that matter never came on.
I have called corporate 2 times now requesting to file a grievance or complaint or anything with them but no one ever calls back.
In the middle of this, this location did get a new Store Manager, and while he is super friendly, he has made it clear there is nothing he can do.
Edit to add: The response I've received from Enterprise on her

Horrible service. Charged me for $200 more than they were supposed to after not having a car for two days after my reservation and their system is so hard to get a hold of anyone who can help remove the charges. Watch out. They will try to nickel and dime you and get whatever they can from you.

So I had a car accident and the insurance paid for the rental, but they did not tell me I was gonna have to pay anything out of my pocket until I got there and was ready to pay didn’t have a car ready and when I did get the car it wasn’t even on full tank That had some maintenance issues so when I told them what happened they said that they were the difference of gas I couldn’t later they call me and tell me I owe $330 that insurance Property did not pay because they don’t communicate with insurance company on their end all I’m saying is you guys are a business act like one you have to know how to get around the loop and get paid future customers right no matter what at the end of the day that’s how you get your check from your customers

This location is fantastic- I have been renting from them for years. They have a variety of clean and reliable cars to choose from, and the customer service from Anthony May and everyone else is top tier. I’m so glad there is a good rental car option downtown, right off the highway and close to the City Market.

This is a 5 star review not for Enterprise but for David C. I came in today with a reservation that I apparently made with a call center and not the actual branch unbeknownst to me. David informed me when I got there that they had no cars and there was a communication breakdown between the call centers and the branch locations. He could have left it at that and told me to kick rocks but he put in a lot of extra effort, tracked a vehicle that was finishing up some maintenance and got me into a vehicle. Ended up being painless just delayed. He was dealing with a lot customers and calls and dealt with the situation with courtesy and professionalism. Excellent job.

I should give a zero, but the option is not available. It was an extremely frustrating experience. My company booked a car for me, and when I got there, I was informed that the requested car was not available. Instead of finding another location for me, I was given the number of another location and told to try calling them myself. I sat in the office and called five other locations, but none had a car available. In the meantime, a couple of other customers experienced the same situation of having a reservation but not a car. I was told that I could try again tomorrow to see if one would be available. The next morning, I called, and the person who answered was annoyed from the beginning. He recognized me from the day before and said he did not have a car and did not know when one would be available. I questioned why they would send a confirmed reservation when they do not have a car. He pointed out to me that the reservation on their website says 'subject to availability.' I told him that I understand what 'subject to availability' means, and my reservation says 'confirmed.' If you do not have a car, then you should send out a reservation that says 'reservation pending' ('car not available') instead of having the person make the trip to your location and being told that you do not have a car. The agent constantly tried to cut me off during our conversation and then finally hung up. Enterprise Customer Care, are you listening?
