I purchased a home in the Delaware Ridge subdivision a year ago. I have been doing home renovations and updates since literally Day One of moving in and Menards has been my go to hardware store.Yesterday, September 2, 2023, I went in and rented a power washer. The customer service rep was awesome. She was very friendly. She was super nice and very helpful. I asked her when I needed to have the washer back and was told that I had it for 24 hours, but then when the store closes for the night that my time does not keep running I still have whatever is left in my 24 hour period.Fast forward to today. I bring the machine back, clean as requested. However, I was over the 24 hour period by barely over an hour. Then I was told I needed to pay another $35 because I was just an hour late from 24 hour period. I tried to explain how the customer service rep told me that I had 24 hours but the clock stopped running when the store was closed. She said that's not true read the paperwork.They still had a power washer behind the counter. It wasn't like there was a long line of people wanting to rent the power washer. They did not lose any money whatsoever by me being barely an hour past the 24 hour allotted time. So I have literally spent thousands upon thousands of dollars there and the customer service rep gave me wrong information. However I relied on that information and was still charged $35 for one hour of being late. I suppose Menards being $1 billion company needed that $35 more so then one of their customers , I will never go back to that store.

I don't usually post reviews on employees, but today is an exception. I went in the Garden Center doors and 2 employees were talking by the doors going into the store. I was not greeted in any way. I found what I wanted without any assistance. I went to the register and heard one employee tell the other that there was a guest. The employee that was working in the Garden Center came over to the register and didn't even acknowledge me with a smile or even verbally. The item I purchased rang up $1 more than the price on the shelves and I asked about it. I was told the price it ringing up is what is on her phone. I suggested that the price on the shelves might need to be corrected. I still made the purchase but her attitude left a lot to be desired. Fortunately I have had good customer service at the Store in KCKS, but if all the staff acted like this one, I wouldn't be returning.

Nice store, but there is a lady that works in the mornings who loves children and tries... but all she does is creep my child out and makes me uncomfortable. She doesn't seem to have any sense of when she's making someone uncomfortable. I prefer to go at night because she isn't here.

WAS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP...EVER!!! Until...we ordered custom cabinets for our kitchen remodel. The employee (Justin) put the dimensions in incorrectly, which left us short cabinets. The general manager, Jim Hrivnak, refused to do anything to correct the mistake the employee admitted to making. Told my husband to "fill out a complaint card." I called to speak to the GM, Jim, and he refused to speak to me, putting another manager on the phone who was the rudest person I've ever spoken to.Corporate won't help out. Other store managers would like to help, but can't because it was the KCK store's mistake.After spending over $20,000 at Menards for our remodel, they can't bother to fix their mistake. This is the worst customer service ever.

I did not want to give any stars! Your loss prevention guy approached me after I paid for ALL my items with a picture of me asking where an item was. At some point, I placed the items I had in my hands on a shelf. I forgot one item on the shelf when I pick up other items. But he approached me on my way out the store in front of others like I stole something. What an Embarrassment! This was in no way right.

Purchased a washer online, they never sent me a confirmation email nor a reciept. The website says that I have to come into the store . The employees in this building looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him for help. They told me I needed to go to the website. I don’t know if it’s a Menard thing or if it’s just this location thing but buyer beware. At least for big purchases

Gabriel S. in the project center was fantastic. I came into the store and wasn’t really sure what I needed for my project. He walked me through everything and gave me different options and lots of advice. He was VERY knowledgeable about the different materials and I couldn’t be happier with the service! Thank you Gabriel!

Retaining wall bricks are all different sizes by half inches. Can never find anyone with a forklift. If you decide to build a retaining wall get your bricks from anywhere else. Waste of time, no matter how perfect the base layer is. The bricks will still be off

This place SEEMS rad, but I came here for a return. It became awkward when I asked for cash back vs store credit, so the lady helping me, Pranita- seemed very uncertain when she told me how to trigger the system into allowing it and I suuuuper nicely asked for a manager, as perhaps Pranita was new or whatever. The manager came out within three minutes, which is reasonable. This manager, and I dont recall her name- wasn't exactly rude- but she was extremely immature and unprofessional. She repeated what Pranita had said, and I apologized *profusely* but mentioned that Pranita seemed uncertain when I asked. Instead of trying to understand my point- the manager leaned into Pranita like that of a lover rather than her manager- and apologized about twice, maybe even three times to Pranita for my asking for a manager. I am not certain if the smile back from Pranita was one of ego or embarrassment for this super cringe display, but I was kinda weirded out, as that behavior has no place at work.As for the store itself- there is certainly a massive selection- but keep in mind the returns process is more of a visit to the dentist rather than a leisurely no drama type of experience.

Would much rather a zero star rating, but that's not an option. Since this store opened, they were my happy place. Seriously, I'd get off work at 6am and head straight there just to wonder around and shop. I've bought a shed, hundreds of dollars of plants, several hundred dollars more in lumber. It only made sense that I'd purchase a weed eater here. This single purchase has caused this store to be dead to me! The little bit of service I did receive was rude and incredibly unhelpful. We purchased the extended warranty, assuming that was the answer to any problem that could arise, but ha ha, jokes on us! We used the weed eater less than 5 times, and then it died. We bought the push button start, and the push button seems to have a wiring issue and won't work. We initially took it to the menards customer service area, thinking it was a simple exchange. Nope! We'd put gas in it, so it has to go through the manufacturing company. The cashier tells us this as if we're trying to take money out of her personal pocket. She called the department manager and he gave us an 800 number for the company. I call them the following morning, again assuming it's an easy fix. Ha ha again! They tell me the nearest service store is 2 hours away, but I can't take it there because it's too far away and that's against their policy. Ok, fine, I don't want to go that far anyway. The first person said to give them 24-48 hours to locate a closer place. After the third day, I call to follow up and get told that's an impossible time frame and I shouldn't have been told that. I'm told they need time to research... I'm still waiting, a month later and the grass is growing taller and taller while I've been ghosted. For Menards to sell merchandise from a company that treats their customers this way, makes then just as guilty in my book. Shame on you LawnMaster, and shame on you Menards!

Clean and well lit.Understocked. Not enough help. And the older gentleman in the garden section was very nice and helpful... didn't get his name.The rest of the employees we encountered were Rude and Unfriendly!!! Like we were bothering them asking for help.

Today picked plant from this display ..correct Size of pot ..but when got to check out cashier had to call over manager.. said more planted in this one ..said someone had probably set down there .. item was to the back of display..would not sale for sign.. Other than that cudo...store was nice and clean and employees very helpful
