Michaels is a craft store that offers a wide range of supplies for various creative projects, including popular art supplies, fabric, canvases, yarn, knitting and crochet materials, frames, scrapbook items, and more. They also provide party planning supplies such as balloon inflation, decorations, and tableware. The Kansas City branch is noted for its quiet atmosphere and easy access, with ample parking. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the limited yarn selection and higher prices compared to other stores. Experiences at checkout have been mixed, with some reporting issues like system outages that caused delays. Although the customer service has received criticism, some shoppers appreciate the store's product variety, especially for specific needs that may not be met by other retailers. Overall, Michaels is seen as a convenient place for craft supplies, though some customers recommend exploring other options for better pricing and yarn selections.
Staff was very pushy about downloading the app. Before, during, and even after check-out asking for our phones. Thanks but no thank you.
Not a bad store, somewhat competitive with other craft stores.
