Best price that I've found in Lawrence won't raise the price every other month like other units in town. The people that work here are very sweet, accommodating, and helpful.

I had an amazing experience with this storage facility. The staff was overly friendly and so accommodating. The unit was super clean when I first moved into it and paying rent was easy. It was also bigger than expected! Highly recommend!

Rented out a unit they were actively planning to do construction on, didn’t tell me in advance they planned for me to have to move all of my stuff to another unit, and then BACK to the first unit; charged me for an extra month and never gave my deposit back after explicitly saying they would refund me several times

Don't expect your stuff to be there when you come to pick it up... Worst. Experience. Ever! Negative stars! We live in IL and stored items during the Summer for our KU student. When she went to retrieve her stuff, the storage unit had been broken into and was empty! Ken ("the maintenance guy") first tried to play it off that it was the wrong unit and kinda laughed it off when I talked to him and said he'd give my daughter the owner's phone number, but then refused to do so. Talked to the owner's son, Reece, and he pretty much gave me the same song and dance and said he's been there 10 years and they get broken into all the time, but didn't have the good sense to install security cameras. "But we do have them at our other facility", he said. Finally, I reached out to the owner, Will, who answered the phone and promptly hung up when I started to explain to him what had happened. Called back and his girlfriend answered and immediately hung up. Way to hide from and ignore your responsibility as a businessman, Will! If your looking to store any belongings, you're better of putting them out on the street... what comes around, goes around. What a joke . . .

My unit was broken into twice on 31st St and things taken. I asked the mgr for secure, silver lock which they lend to tenants but she had none. The owner was told of this and she transferred me to a unit on Lynn St. but it was SMALLER than the one on 31st St, although the price was the same. I didn't totally move into the new unit because I didn't know if I should stay there since it was smaller and I didn't think my furniture would fit in, as I told the manager days later but she said nothing. After a week, I told the mgr. that I would like to move back to my old unit on 31st since since I didn't think the new unit was big enough and I hoped to get a secure lock. I moved things out of the new unit and the manager agreed to re-rent my old unit to me (on March 1st) but she was going to charge me $130 for the month for a unit that's only $75 a month. The computer put a $25 admin. fee as if I was a new customer, although I was not. Although I objected to this, the mgr refused to remove it or adjust it. She also charged me a $30 fee (in addition to the $75 for the unit) for what I have no idea. She knew I was angry at these overcharges but she didn't care and wouldn't adjust or remove them and so I moved out and left A1. The manager lacks in good customer service and her only response to my break-ins and theft was that "we're not responsible for it". I wouldn't recommend A1 because the manager lacks in good customer service, and the location on 31st is not safe or secure, with many peoples' units having been broken into to.

A little run down but the prices are really good. Not in the best neighborhood. Was told a 24 hour accessable gate would be installed soon which appears to be happening.
I have nothing in here that I'm not ok with loosing. When the clerk opened the desk drawer it was filled with police business cards. I'm assuming this is because thefts are quite common there. That's what insurance is for though.
That said, it's a great deal if you recognize that thefts are possible and you are prepared to make a claim with your insurance.

More than half the time there's no one in the office. Barely any light at night no security

Love that there's a gate code to get in. Prices are a bit high and they force insurance on you but all in all it's not bad.

I was hanging out in my truck and the movers might have though I was something that needed to be stowed away so they ended up throwing me in a storage unit.
