We had an amazing experience working with the wonderful family business Alek Auto! They are very down to earth genuine and honest people and provided an excellent customer experience when purchasing a new vehicle! Going above and beyond to make sure everything is squared away before putting you in a vehicle you can feel confident driving away in at an affordable price. I will definitely be recommending friends and family to do business with these amazing people!

Had the BEST experience. Accidentally tore off my bumper and brought it by the shop. Alek was very transparent about my options (both the action and price), and had my car ready when he said it would be. Very professional and respectful. 10/10 recommend and will return if I have any other body issues.

Right before my stepdaughter was supposed to drive from Lawrence to Oregon, we found out her car needed some work. Neither our usual mechanic nor anyone else in town could fit us in on short notice, and then I saw all of Alek’s good reviews, so I gave him a call, and I’m so glad I did! He got it all done on time and for a fair price. Suffice to say he’s our usual mechanic now. Thanks, Alek!

Discover a delightful, family-run business led by a fantastic father-son duo. Imagine this: one day, my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. They quickly diagnosed the issue, ordered the necessary parts, and had everything fixed by the next day. Prior to finding this gem, I'd gone to two other places—one couldn't pinpoint the problem, and the other offered misguided advice. This shop saved me a fortune! Plus, Alex, one of the owners, is genuinely kind and compassionate once you get to know him. I can't recommend this place enough for all your automotive woes!

Absolutely horrible experience. I gave car keys, he took the keys, asked me to sit. After sometime handed me a bill. What happened, how much to fix it, labor cost etc told me absolutely nothing beforehand. Just handed me a bill. For a radiator cap replacement and 1 gallon antifreeze, billed me $172.00. For reference Midas billed me $40.93 for the same service. Even 1 star review feels generous. DO NOT go there, go anywhere but there. It’s simply daylight robbing.

here’s the thing: the actual body work Alek completed was great and looked fantastic. Here’s the issue though:
My transmission completely went out “coincidentally” after picking my car up after it took a week longer than quoted to fix. On top of spending thousands of $$ with alek to fix my front bumper, this problem has persisted now for 6 MONTHS with my transmission. While he’s a good craftsman and likely a great person, I do not trust him to work on my car ever again or anyone else’s I know after this unfortunately. Proceed with caution. Sorry.

Called to ask how much the labor would be to replace a starter. Bought the starter to save on time as most shops in town told me they were on 2 week back order. Man on the phone asked, "If you know the starter is bad and you need it replaced but you can't do it, why did you buy it?"

I have done business with Alex for many years and have been thankful each time I take a vehicle to him. He is very honest, straightforward and I never question the amount he charges for the work done on my vehicles. He is extremely easy to work with and I always leave his shop feeling confident about the work done and the relationship that we have established. I highly recommend Alek’s Auto.

Made an account specifically to leave this review. These guys were AWESOME. I called after ripping off basically the whole front end of my car and they got me in on 5 min notice and temporarily fixed it so I could drive kids around safely for such a reasonable price. They had an office with the cutest dog that we were able to wait in. It’s not often you receive this type of customer service in such a stressful situation. Seriously can’t say enough good things about these guys.

Amazing service! Got me in quickly to replace my alternator and even informed me about other electrical issues my car was having and recommended what kind of specialist I should see to get those taken care of.
