Talking to a robotic person to refill a medication is annoying and complicated.

Slowest pharmacy I have ever used in my life... And the website is just as problematic as the pharmacy itself!

I saw the sign for walk in free flu and Covid. No appointment needed and I went in on a Saturday at 9:30 and was treated very rudely and said you have to make an appointment.

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Horrible service, and unable to correctly fill scripts.
They had my scripts for the better part of 2 weeks, and still somehow still could not get all of them to be a 90 day dose, even after my telling the person at the window where to call 6 days before. Then they tried to charge me for a monthly supply, even though I had specifically told them I sent my scripts there to be a 3 month supply.
Then, due to my, admittedly very angry, reaction, refused to fill any scripts, period.

I see in previous reviews that the pharmacy staff has gotten complaints. My experience has been terrific with the pharmacist 's and the support crew. Gabby went out of her way to get a prescription transform Texas and got it filled in just a few minutes.
Michelle is awesome as well.
I appreciate the effort they give every time because my old CVS in Houston continues to refill my scripts and it's frustrating.
Thanks for caring!

Unprofessional pharmacists at this location that need to be looked at. Despite going to this pharmacy monthly for at least half a decade, we were told our insurance was expired and they wouldn’t accept it. This was despite the fact that numerous BCBS representatives - at least 8-10 separate phones calls had been made to not only BCBS of KC but our provider group - telling them otherwise that our insurance is active. The pharmacist, named Shawn, that was supposedly helping me for over hour abruptly left and all he could say to me was “IT is working on the issue, it should be fixed in a couple of days”. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional of someone working in the healthcare industry. Horrible.

Was refused a Novavax vaccine because there weren't 5 others around at the time that must also happen to want one, and was abruptly abandoned as I sought a schedule or a plan or an alternative as to how to get one.Details: Based on the CVS website appointment scheduling section that said no appointment was required, I took leave from work and drove for over an hour to Lawrence to the CVS at 23rd street to specifically get a Novavax vaccine. When I got there, a person, presumably the pharmacist in charge, claimed that unless there were 5 or more people at that precise time who needed Novavax, they would not open a five-dose vial to "waste" a single on me. This person would not offer any scheduling as to when 5 persons would be there, did not request details for a future booking, or make any helpful attempt to get me the vaccine elsewhere or via another method. The person would just robotically parrot the alleged 5-person requirement and emphasize repeatedly the word "waste," an unendearing term for someone who could use it. Besides being unsympathetic and unapologetic, this person walked off as I was seeking alternatives. When I asked if they were too busy to want to talk to me, the reply was "this was going nowhere." This person did not suggest any other CVS locations as alternatives. Also, when I had inquired as to why the 5-person requirement was not on the CVS website, thus alleviating my wasted trip, the person replied curtly that they had no control over the website, disavowing any responsibility with CVS mass communication. I left after saying I would make a complaint, to which the person simply rolled their eyes. The entire encounter was less than 5 minutes, a testament to the level of attention and concern they felt should be accorded a customer. I have told all my colleagues and they are aghast. No one had encountered such appalling attitude in the nearby Walmarts or Walgreens for the mRNA or past J&J vaccines, even at the height of the pandemic. Is this how CVS operates to efficiently dispense vaccines? Are the other reviews correct that this is an uncaring and badly run pharmacy? It certainly gives me pause to ever return.

Long lines with people who don't really know how to do there job. Getting told my meds won't be covered, to go home and talk to the insurance company saying that it was completely wrong and that it is covered. Cvs pharmacy doesn't have the professionalism, they don't understand that when you're in customer service you're supposed help the customer.

I really want to give CVS a higher rating. One star is the best I can give. Their overall rating of 3.1 should be ample warning for everyone that you should find a different pharmacy. The other store in Lawrence, located at 6th and Wakarusa, is exactly the same.My primary concern is their atrocious, horrible, and we hate people phone system . The phone system used by CVS was most likely made by the same idiots who created the VA health care phone system.A sick person could literally die on the phone while trying to reach a real live human ate either the VA or CVS.
