The drive thru for prescriptions is ridiculous. I have always hated CVS pharmacy just because their hours are limited and they are so slow. There were 3 cars in line to pick up prescriptions today and I waited close to 25 minutes. That is unacceptable. It should be 2-3 minutes per car to hand out prescriptions and get a signature. If someone has an issue with something then they should be told to come inside and not hold the line up. I wouldn’t come here anymore but my insurance changed and that is one of the only places I can get meds. Don’t come here for pharmacy if you have other options.

Rude, unhelpful clerk. With all the other stores in this area replicating the same services of CVS, won't be going back here.

Last night was a nightmare when I went into CVS at five till 8:00 pm
I went in there to pick up some witch hazel and some CoverGirl COVERSTICK. I grabbed some turtles on the way down the aisle to find the items I was looking for. Then I had to run to the bathroom. The the boy that worked there let me in after I hollered down the aisles for somebody to help me. I looked all over and couldn't find anyone anywhere. After three attempts of hollering a boy finally emerged from the end of an aisle. He pointed me in the direction of the witch hazel. I thanked him and asked if they had a restroom. He said he did, and let me in. He did not inform me that they were closing in five minutes time.
It was 5 to 8 pm, and I just assumed that they were open 24 hours like Walgreens down the street. When I came out there was a girl with a mask on, and I asked her if she knew where my turtles were, because I left him on the shelf before I went in the bathroom. She said, "They're up front but we're closed so you can't buy them now." I said, 'That's insane, I ate part of them, and I want to pay for them.' She said, "Well then you're just going to have to use the self-service register." What's up with that? Does corporate even care? "Maybe it'll work," she said. 🤦 How sweet of her. (Sarcastic.)
I proceeded to go to find the witch hazel, and she objected. She said, "No, it's too late. You can't buy that." She said, "That's not allowed. You can't buy anything in our drugstore. You need to leave now!" I seriously couldn't believe the way I was being treated by these two people that worked at CVS on 6th and Bauer Farms Drive, in Lawrence, KS
When I got to the front the same boy that helped me earlier told me I couldn't buy the turtles. "JUST LEAVE. GO!", he commanded. I said, 'That's ridiculous. I'm going to pay for them. There's no reason for you to be treating me this way. What's your name?" He said you don't need my name, Baby! I said, 'Oh yes I do!' 😂 I proceeded to the self-serve, got out my camera, and snapped a couple of pictures of the two abusers. I rang up my turtles, and by this time I was really nervous and feeling totally humiliated by their inappropriate abusive behavior towards me.
The girl came over to assist and by this time, after I snap the pictures of them she knew she was in trouble, and and she was acting very helpful.
The young boy behind the counter continued to torment me by telling me I don't know how to dress, laughing and taunting me and told me to get out of our store!
I was so humiliated and so disturbed by their behavior I couldn't believe it. I said I've been shopping at CVS for over 10 years and I've never been treated like this. I then proceeded to get out my camera and take a photograph of both parties who were hired to work at CVS.
After paying for the turtles I headed for the door and the young boy followed me to let me out. I said when you were hired for CVS you were hired to serve others. He said, " I'm just working here on a part-time basis, I'm a college student." I said, 'Yeah well I was a college student too at KU at one time, and I never treated anybody like this in my entire life. At that point he spit on me. I should have called the police for the elder abuse, verbal abuse, and physical assault by this boy, but I knew they wouldn't do anything about it. I told him that he shouldn't have this job if he didn't want to serve others. I told him he was acting arrogant and entitled. What is up with this younger generation? Oh my goodness. It's a nightmare! 😯
I hope this review ends up on the desk of corporate and they fire both of these people. They sho

The CVS pharmacy on 6th & Wakarusa are incapable, incompetent or unwilling to serve the public. My family of four attempted to move to CVS for new health insurance purposes in January of 2024 and it has been a nightmarish hellscape since. No matter how cumbersome and annoying it may be to coordinate moving all meds to another pharmacy with multiple providers for our family, it will pale in comparison to what I’ve experienced with this pharmacy the past 10 months. The complete inept failure that is the CVS pharmacy is on full display in Lawrence, KS. A one star review is overly generous.

Carrie, Rph and the staff at the drive through know me by name, unfortunately. They are always friendly, helpful and kind. Just a few more years Carrie till you get to retire!

Your new phone system sucks really bad. It needs to go back to the way it use to be where we can call & talk to the pharmacy instead of playing phone tag having to leave a message & wonder when we'll get a call back. Because of work alot of people can't just set by there phone waiting on a return call

It's difficult to get a prescription at this pharmacy without multiple tries. They are too picky. Go to Dillons. Smooth process, no issues ever.

When I asked a pharmacist if they carried an Over The Counter med I couldn't find, I was told to ask the cashier up front because the pharmacy doesn't know anything about the OTC/health section of the store ?

Had the rudest cashier get an attitude with me, and rolling her eyes because I took my receipt too early (used the self checkout), and the entire roll of receipt paper came out. She proceeds to come over and roll her eyes, then when it’s fixed and the QR code came out she says “if you had just waited 5 more seconds, you could have had it”. That employee sure did get cussed out. Management, you might want to hire more pleasant employees because she isn’t one of them.

We signed up online for COVID and flu shots because we were traveling to visit family the next week. When we got there, the had my last name wrong though they had matched me to my prior visits in their system -- their system knew who I was, but the web app had automatically given me the last name of my partner who did the entering, and because of this, they refused my reservation.Should have been no big deal, because they do take walk-ins "when have the staff", and they now had an opening at 4 because the guy with the reservation doesn't exist. They STILL refused to let me register and get the shot that day. WE WENT DOWN THE STREET TO DILLONS TO GET THEM AND SAVED $80. NO HASSLE. I drove a half hour to get there and they could not be bothered to let me re-register to get the shots!Worst customer service I have had in years.
