Cycle Works is a great local bike shop in Lawrence, Kansas, established in 1973. It is a one-stop shop for all things cycling, offering a comprehensive selection of bicycles, including e-bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes, and children's bikes, alongside a full range of cycling gear and accessories. They are the premier service shop in northeast Kansas.
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and super helpful, however big or small the need. They are not snobs at all. The shop itself is fascinating, with an interesting array of nostalgic and modern bikes and gear. The owner is very helpful and very knowledgeable. The team is honest about what a bike actually needs and believes in making bikes work, not about putting new parts if there's no need. They get right on repairs, often with a simple fix, and have worked overtime to help customers.
Their prices are reasonable and extremely reasonable for services like repairs, wheel building, and tune-ups. The shop is awesome and highly recommended as a real bike shop that cares and knows bikes.
Cycle Works did a great job repairing my bike, very timely, and at a fair price. Thank you!
