AND they're at the Phoenix gallery! So I meet bff there and we walk around the upstairs which is full of incredibly beautiful artisan pieces. Handmade jewelry, wood items, pens, paintings, glassware, pottery, etc. Just one gorgeous item after another and they're reasonably priced! The effing candles ? are downstairs in the "underground Phoenix ". I found one I liked and bought it! There are other items down here just as unique as their upstairs counterparts. I love coming to this store as it has things not found anywhere else plus handmade! If you're looking for something special, there's a 100% chance you'll find it here. “After shopping around at a few different jewelers on Mass St. we decided to go with KCJ for so many reasons. We worked with Erica for both our engagement ring and wedding bands. From the beginning Erica was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. We decided to design my wedding band and Erica was able to provide endless detail and information on which diamonds may be best for us. She presented multiple options for us to be able to make an informed decision. Throughout the design process she printed a 3D model of the ring so we could better visualize what it would look like. While we were in the production stage she kept us up to date on the timeline and ensured all of our questions were answered. The final result was absolutely gorgeous and solidified for us that we would go back to design our wedding bands. We had a very similar experience with our band creation. Erica provided mockups of what the hand engraving would look like so we could better visualize the process. The end result of our bands was even better than we could imagine. Every experience we have had at KCJ has been outstanding. From the high level of customer service to the quick turnarounds with no impact on the end quality, we just could not be more thrilled. We will continue to go there for years to come.”

“I was in need of a reputable jeweler to replace the battery and inspect my husband's KU insignia watch he received from his father when he graduated in 1996. He wanted to gift it to our son who was graduating this spring in Computer Engineering. Marks did a spectacular job of looking it over, cleaning it, and replacing the battery. They did the work quickly and gave us enough time to wrap and present it at his dinner party. The watch looked beautiful-in fat it looked brand new! I'll definitely use Mark's again. “How can you not love Claire's? This shop has the corner on shiny, glittery and girly. It is so fun to look at all the fun items and figure out how to accessorize with them. I am over 50 years old but Claire's always make me feel like a teenager again. There is a little of everything in Claire's. They have hair bows, hair ties, barrettes, hair sparkles. It's not just about hair, either. They have jewelry of all sorts, cell phone cases, room décor and on-and-on. You could spend hours in this fun store and not ever fully see all the products they offer. In Lawrence Claire's is located downtown and there are always parking issues. You just have to be patient and keep circling until you get a space or park at the garage a few blocks away. Otherwise, this store is accessible and worth the parking hassle. The staff has always been pleasant and nice. They seem to understand that once a girl, always a girl.”

“I had been looking forward to visiting this shop for awhile! Previously this was a jewelry line that was sold online and at various events, but she now has a storefront and sells other items too! Her jewelry is beautiful and features many precious stones in natural settings and designs. The rest of the store items are carefully curated featuring many up-and-coming makers. There are paper products, clothes, fragrances and skincare, pins, etc. Just a really cool rotating selection of items for sale. The space is open and filled with light. There's an adorable dog that greeted me and was very playful (automatically love any store with animals). Can't wait to go back and purchase a fragrance I tried on that I love and still lingers hours later!”

“Found 715 recommended on line to snag dinner with my 2 lifelong besties before an event at Lied Center in Lawrence. We arrived around 4 as our event's doors opened at 6. We were bummed to find out that we were too early for dinner and are only choices were from the Happy Hour menu. I did a bit of whining to the host and one of the owners was writing menu items on a chalk board next to our table, so I sort of whined to him that I did not see on the website that dinner did not begin until 5. So he said he could fix that and next thing we knew we had dinner menus in our hands and dinner was served before 5. We also got a table visit from the Chef as well, also an owner. The food was fabulous. We all had steak. Highly recommend the ribeye. Perfect medium rare. Excellent experience. Worth the drive to Lawrence.”
