Best taco and medxican place in lawrence! I highly recommend checking this place out! One of my favorite places to go to for tacos and drinks! Overall great food. They have a little market down stairs with fresh bread and all types of food from Mexico!

Wonderful, authentic Mexican food! Try the pozole on Thursdays or menudo on the weekends. The torta milanesa is fantastic, as are the sopes, with any of the great meat choices. Try the huarache if you have a big appetite. A few small things could be improved here. They use mostly plastic flatware and do not offer knives. It would be nice to be able to cut the tortas into smaller pieces so it is easier to eat. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. Sometimes you have to go and hunt someone down for the ice cream counter, which is something that could be improved. But it usually doesn't take long in any case. It would also be nice to be able to order and pay for your meal, ice cream, and aguas frescas all together, rather than to make two separate transactions, which is how you have to do it now. But these are very minor issues for always wonderful meals!
Vegetarian options: There are not many vegetarian options other than the snack counter.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options for kids, though no specific kids menu.

Menudo was horrible!! No pozole and got big pieces of pigs foot I can't eat. Tasted like didn't wash tripe very well. My friends tomale was nasty mushy too much masa and shredded meat?!! Who cooks like this my grandma taught me how cook . This was unacceptable no Mexicans may think this was good. I wouldn't even give one star but no choice. No salsa bar either!!??? Needs lots work if can't make menudo I know the rest is crap. Never be back ever. Get your shit together!!

Me and my son got quesadillas and it was amazing. The girl who took are order was very sweet and atmosphere was relaxing. I should note that me and my son are picking when it comes to Hispanic food and we don’t like Tex mex at all. Very affordable too.
