MIDCO - I wish I could give negative points (not stars). My service visit today cost me a Dr bill and zero services were performed.Bill went up unexpectedly with a decrease in speed performance.Tech left gate open 4 dogs escaped … he left and I fell trying to retrieve the pets hurting my back and breaking a toe.PS - still no internet posting this from the emergency clinic.It would have been cheaper to pay for me to pay the increased bill for sporadic service than go thru what I did today. Absolutely the worse service visit I have ever experienced in my life …

Very poor internet service. I would like to give 0 stars (not possible) Customer service is easy to work with but the internet service/speed/ quality is completely worthless. I never write reviews (+ or -) but this is beyond frustrating and it is a miracle that I can even write this review while connected to Midco internet

From Sunflower to Knology and now Midco. I've never had unacceptable issues with service or support. On the contrary, it has always been better than expected. Midco support techs especially have been excellent, willing to allow that I actually knew something about this stuff and didn't make me jump through umpteen scripted hoops re-doing everything I'd already done before I called. Internet speed isn't what it should be, though, and several TV channels pixelate or freeze way too often. I figure infrastructure in my service area is either deteriorated or overburdened. They should use the excess profits to replace or upgrade it. This would also help tech support. It took "John" half an hour this evening to figure out my modem wasn't the problem, it was an area-wide outage, somebody either cut a line or knocked out a junction box. They got service restored in time for the Chiefs kick-off. I'd rate 3 stars based on value for the price, but the tech support crew in SD earns the 4th star.SUPPLEMENT: We had to call support again because service dropped again and it wasn't an area outage. The technician arrived on schedule and quickly determined that the problem was ancient coaxial lines to the house. They were more atherosclerotic than my coronary arteries. He called for an assistant and they spent the morning in 100-degree heat stringing new cable not only from the pole to the house but from the pole to two more poles to get to the junction box. We now have good signal to the modem and haven't dropped service since, and the pixelation has been cured. So I've given them the 5th star. I still think it's overpriced for the channels we get, but support like this kind of makes up for it.

They say, you will be getting great speeds and connection. But that's only for the first 5 to 6 months.All that I have had is a 50 to 70 mbps all year round, I was told it would be 100 mbps. And they want to charge more the following year.Edit:I do want to go somewhere else eventually and these guys are ok. But they gotta get a grip on what they have their guys tell people. I'd say their service is about mid to low grade internet for what there charging me. It works that's all that matters when your in college and on a budget.

They are largely the only option if you live in an apartment and it shows. Horrible products , horrible service is the midco way.

EDIT: After posting this review, Midco sent Tyler to come and reconnect the modem. He was not the one that disconnected it, but he was happy to fix it and even got rid of an old splitter that may have been slowing our internet down. So, all in all, it was handled very well. I am updating my rating based solely on our experience of repair after the fact. Tyler was great!Midco van came to work on new neighbor’s WiFi and somehow knocked out our internet. Soonest they can come fix it is in two days on a Sunday. So, no internet until then AND we get to be stuck in the house on a Sunday on which we had plans. No time frame as to when they’ll be coming. Just whenever they can. It would be one thing if we were new accounts, but we are long time customers and now have to schedule around their mistake.

Nickolas is an amazing sales rep! I just moved to Kansas and had so many problems with the apartment but no matter where I move, he is always there to help with the Internet service. He always shows a great attitude, no complains even though I changed 3 addresses in 1 week. I used to work in the service industry and this guy performs beyond expectations! Midco should always be the Internet service you are looking for if living in Lawrence. Just text him and you will get internet in a second. Midco has a really great employee!!!

They did come out and finally fix the problem for this person.Original: Service seems negligent. Senior neighbor w. serious health has landland. He needs to call emergency services occasionally. Phone works intermittently and is not working most of the time. They have reset twice instead of coming out to fix what seems a long term problem.

After 25 minutes on hold to cancel the account, and hearing every two minutes that there was "an unusually high volume of phone calls" I drove to the store and walked in to see 4 people waiting for something to do. Trying to make you give up by keeping you on hold forever is sleazy.

Terrible! It takes an hour to actually talk to someone and the billing is ridiculous! I should be able to make a payment without them deciding what that is.
