McCarthy used to be helpful and efficient; that was about two or three years ago! Nine months ago, they installed a clutch with a 12-month warrantee. lol SURE! I was stranded in the middle of Iowa, heading to my Mother's funeral in Wisconsin when the clutch failed SUDDENLY. So on a weekend I called a tow, rented a car, had my clutch fixed over a week's time. Back home in Lawrence I thought I could finally get something good to happen at my Local Nissan Dealer, YOU KNOW THEM, RIGHT?, the SO FRIENDLY people when you are shopping for a car. THEY DO NOT CARE!!!! Evidently I was supposed to find a "Certified" Nissan place in the middle of Iowa. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! My wife and I, my kids and parents all drive Nissans; I mean USED TO DRIVE NISSANS!!! The Service Manager was cold, uncaring, and rude.

Unfortunately after three years and thousands of dollars Mccarthy Nissan has proven to be unreliable and lacking integrity. Each visit my vehicle is returned with the same unsolved issues that it was brought in for and was claimed never to have been found. It took until my car set itself on fire for them to even acknowledge my issue. Each visit my vehicle was there between 10-14 days and they never offer dealer vehicles or rentals so customers can resume standard daily activities, like going to work. They only repaired symptomatic parts and skirted around finding the root cause of my vehicles issue. I am disappointed to say that after my experiences with Mccarthy Nissan I will never be able to recommend, approve or support their service to any person.
