Much cleaner and better organized than the previous location in East Lawrence. But! Be sure you double check before you donate. Even though I made an appointment and listed the items I planned to bring, I was told after lugging them there that hardly anything I brought could he accepted. Hope they can find a way to be a touch more proactive via communication.

I love ReStore! My husband and I have shopped and donated at the Lawrence location for the 12 years we have lived in the area. But the Lawrence donation policy of requiring an appointment makes it impossible for us to donate at their location anymore. When they first started this policy it was difficult to schedule a Saturday donation appointment and now they don’t even offer that option. Expecting people to take a day off work to donate is too much. We now donate, and also shop, at the Lenexa location. None of the Kansas City locations require appointments for donations or pickups and they have longer hours making it possible for me to do a donation on my way home from work.

Simply love this store there is so many times your looking for something unique vintage or a part for the same and they have it . But if you take the time to look around yourself you will come across some beauty's. And the people they're are always professional curtious informative people .

I donated a lot of marketable items which appeared to sell rapidly. ✔️ I bought several heavy shelving units at a later time. Temperature outside was 10 -15 degrees for the next few days & they seemed reluctant to help me load them out. I did not ask “when I needed to have them out” - which is my oversight. I stopped in when the temps were in the low 20’s (morning of the third day) to see if there would be help to load out. BTW I am considered a senior citizen. I received the most unnecessary and rude, uncaring, angry verbal abuse from the female at the desk for not having the shelves out - again the morning of day 3. I will never return to donate or buy. I see Restore has KC locations as I have more tool donations to make. I hope for respect and caring there.
