Sports Pavilion Lawrence is a well-equipped and versatile recreational facility available free to county residents. The indoor gym offers a small but adequate weight room with two squat racks, a barbell, moveable benches, a multi cable machine, lat pull-downs, pull-up bars, leg press, leg extension, back extension bench, bicep curl bench, and free dumbbells. The cardio area features recumbent bikes, Spinning-style bikes, ellipticals, a stair climber, and recumbent stair climbers, providing various options for cardio workouts. The facility also boasts two large basketball courts, an indoor soccer field, indoor volleyball, and a 1/8 mile indoor track, making it ideal for multiple sports and activities. Outside, there are numerous tennis courts, outdoor trails, and additional courts for tennis, volleyball, and basketball, catering to diverse interests. However, the facility faces challenges with its bathroom and changing room situation. There are only three shared changing rooms that double as showers and toilets, without stalls. This results in a less hygienic environment, especially for showering, which is considered unpleasant and unclean by visitors. The limited facilities can make it difficult for users to shower comfortably, though they can still access bathrooms on the other side of the building. Overall, the Sports Pavilion Lawrence is praised for its variety of amenities and free access for residents. Improvements in cleanliness and restroom facilities would enhance the experience further, but the overall environment remains positive, making it a great place for indoor and outdoor sports, fitness, and recreation.
Wonderful facility and free to county residents. Has weight room (small but adequate) pickleball, basketball courts and indoor soccer field where I prefer to run for lower impact.

Very nice facility! Parking can be a bigproblem if there are other events going on in the surrounding complex.

Out door trails, tons of tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts inside. Free entry to all Lawrence residents. Decent gym with an indoor 1/8 mile track. Location is less than desirable, but overall the facility is great.
