If it was a way to pick 0 stars I would totally. Sunflower bank is by far the worse bank I have ever banked with. My son and I both had accounts with them and I was a signer on his account. Well my account was charged off. My son received his tax refund to cover his negative balance on his account and because my name was on his account they used his funds to cover my balance I was responsible for. This came after I was informed there was a balance that my son needed to pick up and 15 mins before we were out the door they called me and told me what took place. My son was distraught as into this was first account he ever had, and his first time receiving a tax refund and he was robbed by the branch. They went on to say government funds are not protected funds and because I was on his account they used his check in his name to cover MY FEES I WAS RESPONSIBLE for. Having being in banking myself for the last 8 years this was a huge slap in the face and unheard of. I would not recommend this bank to no one. They steal your money.

I got my card stolen for the first time but Tammy from Sunflower Bank in Lawrence,KS is amazing! She helped me with the entire process including who to call, disputing charges and issuing a temporary card. She has been such a delight and so helpful with this entire process!!!

Karen McGrath has been so helpful with us in our time of need. Sunflower Bank has been so supportive and understanding of us. Customer service here is always great. I wouldn't suggest going to any other bank here in town.

I truly appreciate Sunflower Bank, I have been banking them for a long time! Love it when people know your name. Tammy, Scott and Karen have alway been there to help when needed.

The app is worthless. I signed up for an account that would credit me $200 if I used my debit card a certain amount of times within like a month of opening an account with them, set up direct deposit from my employer, and opened with a certain amount of money. I went ahead and set up the direct deposit, opened the account with well over the amount required, and was given a “vault card”. I was told that my debit card would be in the mail within in 10-14 days. 2 months later I received a debit card, however it didn’t work anywhere (including the sunflower bank atm). So I spent 4 hour walking between the teller station inside of the bank, and the atm outside of the bank while the teller continuously was on the phone with visa trying to get it working. It did after 4 hours……needless to say I did not qualify for the $200 credit due to the fact I did not use my debit card 32 times within the 30 days of opening my account. (I tried to dispute it, but was told the start date cannot be reset?). The app /mobile banking is worthless. I am literally keeping track of my finances in a notebook…like a checkbook. It takes 5-7 BUSINESS days for anything to show/process. I WILL be closing my account soon. Do not bank here. Sunflower Bank will blame everything on the fact that it has been sold to Visa. I truly believe that is not the problem.

Staff is always friendly and eager to help. I have never encountered a more friendly and positive group of people that have the best interest of their customers in mind. I would absolutely recommend anyone that is switching their bank or starting a new account

This bank needs work. Our debit cards will only work at certain ATMs. And when they do, they fail to give balance information. I was contacted by Sunflower Bank associate Renée Felicé and she was very rude. Would not recommend this bank.

I’ve been with Sunflower Bank since the 90’s. The staff has always been professional, kind and helpful. Even when I moved to a State without a branch, I continued to bank with Sunflower. If you want excellent customer service and the best banking experience, this is your bank!

I had the pleasure to work with Tammy Doll a couple of weeks ago doing some family related banking. Tammy made a stressful situation as pleasant as possible. Tammy even came my family members home to notorize some documents. Who knew bankers made house calls!? I know that if I lived in Lawrence there would only be one bank I would do business with! Thank you very much.
