I sent my puppy there until 6 mos old with a break until he got neutered. When he returned I was told he could not be socialized??? when I asked for training they said that dogs past 16 weeks are unable to be trained to be social. So according to this messed up thought process none of us should go to the human society to adopt a troubled adult dog!! They just don't like large puppies! Don't take your Labrador retriever there

Bad customer service on the phone. Very rude and sounded off put by me even calling. Whoever was on the phone acted condescending and annoyed.

We took our mini doodle to Puppy 1 and are currently going through Puppy 2. The training center is HUGE, the trainers are very knowledgeable and kind and our overall experience was great!

Wagmore has been our only boarding facility since we got our fur baby 5 years ago. Before this week I would have told you that our pup loves boarding there, the facility is always clean, we are greeted by name and a highly enthusiastic welcome, and they offer little extras that make me feel less mom guilt for leaving her. After this week I will tell you that they are the most amazing people on the planet. Our pup who has never had any issues while boarding developed high anxiety due to fireworks that were shot off on NYE. We were out of the country and unreachable. On New Year’s Day the owners rushed her to urgent care in Kansas City, were turned away by one facility and continued on to another one. They picked her up the next day and proceeded to spend the next 3 days and nights nursing her back to health. They slept on air mattresses on the floor, kept her with them constantly, administered multiple meds, special food, and footed the bill on their credit card until we could return and sort it out. I have no doubt that they saved her life by their quick action and diligent care. To say that I am grateful and humbled is the understatement of the century. Some people are in business to make a living. Jerri and Jeannene run a business (which I hope is also profitable ?) because they love the fur clients that they take care of and it shows in everything they do. We will forever call the Wagmore crew family!!

Wagmore is great for the most part. I always felt good taking my dog there. We didn’t come a lot, I took him maybe once every two months and typically for a half day. In September, I took him in for a full day daycare and everything was pretty normal when I took him home. However, over the span of a few days, he got a nasty eye infection and then developed a cough. When I took him to the vet, he had a form of kennel cough. I was really upset but I understood that this is usually inevitable with daycares. He’s vaccinated and he got over it relatively quickly. My fuss with Wagmore is not because of this by itself. It’s mostly because of how they handled me. I called a days later and very calmly told the receptionist about the situation. I was not irate and I wasn’t yelling. Like I said before, I understand that this happens sometimes. But she was quick to get me off the phone and told me my message will be passed on to the owners and they would clean and then we hung up. I felt very dismissed and was a little upset. I didn’t get any follow up and no one called to make sure he was okay. I felt like they didn’t care about me or my dog. On top of that, I hope they actually cleaned and didn’t just tell me that to make me get off the phone quicker. Wagmore was great for a little bit, but we will not return. And I hope other people do not run into the same situation I do. Find a daycare staff that loves your dog as much as you do!

Wagmore is by far the leader of positive reinforcement training in the area and the best place to take your pups for daycare or boarding. Staff are attentive to the needs of each pet. Your dogs will quickly become a member of the pack.

Off-putting experience. My dog was unable to complete her training sessions due to her coming down with kennel cough, so I informed Wagmore that we wouldn’t attend some sessions. I was aware of the no-refunds policy, but I never received any call back or attempt to work over zoom, as mentioned in the informational class. I’m sure they’re knowledgeable dog trainers, perhaps not as human-friendly! My dog did enjoy daycare at Wagmore, though.

We have used Wagmore for training multiple rescue dogs over the years and they are absolutely the best!! Our dogs have come from sad and scary places and Wagmore has truly helped them have better lives and be better pets for us (anxiety, aggression, barking, leash walking, resource behaviors). We have completed the basic manners course and the puppy course and can't say enough great things! The classes are small and give lots of room for individual questions/tips and help specific to your dog. I felt like each teacher was very well trained and versed and made me feel confident and comfortable. The facility is great, it has a large open space and many training pieces to help your pet learn whatever the objective is. We have also used the doggy daycare and our puppy loved it! I felt like it was well supervised and the staff was well trained to handle many types of dogs and their interactions. Since we have had such positive experiences, we recently signed up for individual training for 2 rescue dogs that were not getting along (added the puppy to our family, with an older rescue dog). Jerri has literally saved us!! I can't imagine we would've been able to comfortably live in the same household with these pets, without her training us, them and her constant guidance. Both dogs are now able to have mostly positive interactions and have made amazing progress! I am so incredibly thankful for her knowledge. She taught me things in a positive manner and never made me feel like a bad pet owner for not knowing exactly the right thing to do. We can't say enough great things about this small business! Thank you for everything, I'm sure we'll be back :)

This is the most spacious training center I have seen in Lawrence. Jerry is super helpful and she says she follows a Karen Pryor training curriculum that exceeds AKC Canine Good Citizen requirements. You definitely get what you pay for.

I have been bringing my dog to wagmore for awhile now (2 years or so) and I love it here! They always recognize my dog by name when we come in and he is always so excited to go inside when we pull up to the building. It’s one of the only places in town i trust to leave me dog at. Everyone that works here is so sweet and kind and you can just tell they truly care about your dog and they want what’s best for them. I love wagmore and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to leave your dog for daycare/boarding/grooming!

My partner and I took our dog Petra to the reactive dog class and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a dog trainer. We got some advice that has helped our dog so much and she has even slept through the night now, and she has had days where she didn't pull on the leash, lunge, or bark! They are so gentle with the dogs and take the time to listen to questions and help with each unique situation.

We had a really nice experience in their puppy socialization class. All the instructors were welcoming, kind, helpful, and, most importantly, effective! We look forward to continuing on with training at Wagmore.
