About to leave Lawrence very soon, and one thing I’ll definitely miss is this shop. Jake has taken such great care of my 170k-mile little boy—it still runs smooth as butter today. Everything is reasonably priced, and Jake is professional and never tries to upsell you on things you don’t need.
I bought the car around 2018 and used to get oil changes at the local Honda dealer. Every time they said something was wrong, I always come here and do the bigger repairs. After the dealership became more and more of a-hole. I started coming here for everything—oil changes, safety checks, and any other fixes.
Highly recommended. Two cars, 7 years, and 80,000 miles, you can always trust them. It is so difficult to find trustworthy and professional mechanic

They had me come in for a diagnostic very quickly. Tony was friendly and tried to be as informative as he thought I could understand. Problem couldn't be resolved due to a questionable head gasket being unaccessible and no repair shop had any openings for weeks ... My vehicle being a loss and not worth the expense of a deeper investigation was their finding. Not their fault. Not what I wanted to hear but that's life. I do recommend them to anyone with a vehicle.

I had a great experience at Westside for several reasons.
1) I was never made to feel dumb for my lack of car repair knowledge.
2) The mechanic was transparent about what needed done on my car and didn't pressure me in to repairing other things that weren't urgent.
3) Price was fair.
4) The repair was so quick! They didn't need to order parts, so my car was down same day.
I recommend Westside Automotive to anyone and everyone! Best car repair experience I have had to date.

Jake gets high marks for good work and a fair price. However, he is just a one man shop and when things get backed up or take longer than usual, he can’t always fix things completely.

I have taken my car here a few times. They have done pretty good work. But I recently got my head lights replaced. But they did not even try to align them. Then when I called Jacob told me I can do it at home or he would charge me to do it. That should of been part of the replacement!

I had power steering issues and what I thought to be a vacuum leak. Derek took care of me and I got a fair price. Was not taken advantage of when I walked in and told them I didn't know what was wrong. Very happy with my experience.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent fast service!Moving daughter in for school, car threw a belt. His schedule was booked but he got us in and on the road the same day for a very reasonable price!I would highly recommend!

I am very impressed with the service at Westside Auto. I took my truck there to get a new oil pan installed (Ford put plastic pans on recent F150s...). They did a great job, but the new pan was faulty. They worked me back in and replaced the faulty part with no added costs. Very trustworthy and dependable. Richard is the most honest businessman I've come to know in my 30 years of living in Lawrence. His mechanics are knowledgeable and will answer my questions without a lot of "over my head" jargon.
