The five star rating I'm giving applies only to the people that work in the shop, regarding the service I've received from them. I trust their word when I ask them something i feel as though I get a truthful answer, also the shop manager replaced a very expensive part for me under my warranty after I mistakenly put diesel in my gas tank a couple of weeks after I lost my Dad real unexpectedly, so I'll be forever grateful to Mr. Pfananstiel for that. I don't think I'd buy a car here, though, after some of my family member's experiences. My Mother bought an SUV here and had to pay $36,600.00 for it, and it was driven 200 miles from Oklahoma because the one that Martens had in stock ended up being sold to another customer. When I asked the salesman about giving her a discount for the 200 mile drive, and it was supposed to be a brand new vehicle, I was told "It's 200 miles" so no discount for that. Had the situation been reversed, and we tried to take a vehicle back to them, driven 200 miles, it would have been a horse of another color, believe me it would have been. My brother bought a new vehicle at a Lawrence KS GM Dealership that was $1,500.00 less than what Henry Martens quoted. When my brother advised Mr. Hill, the manager, or the price difference, he just stood there and told my brother "Somethings Fishy" several times. Mr. Hill wouldn't budge a penny off of the price of the car for sale at Martens, so my brother obviously bought his new vehicle at the Lawrence Dealership. There was nothing fishy whatsoever, just a much better price for the customer at the Lawrence dealership. If it wasn't the same exact car, it was one very, very similar to the one for sale at Martens. Mr. Hill doesn't know what customer service is, not in my opinion. I know when I traded in my car there, Mr. Hill paid me $200.00 less than what it was worth. I'll never buy a vehicle here when the time comes. I sincerely like the shop employees, though, and the ladies that work inside behind the counter have never done anything to irritate me as a customer.

A wonderful experience. We had no intention of purchasing a new vehicle the day of purchase. Al, our salesman made the whole process smooth as silk. Dave, the finance manager got us approved and away we went. Our thanks go out to the entire staff. An outstanding facility to do business. No pushy, high pressure sales people around...

Service department is very honest. Had a long list of things and called with status and honest responses. Car works like new again for a lot less than it would have been if they were not honest.
