“My wife and I took our two nieces (pictured) to Lu’s at the recommendation of my mom. We were visiting along with my sister, who is turning 40 soon. Her youngest had not-so-subtly asked what she wanted for her birthday and she had said earrings. Right upon entering the youngest told the super nice sales associate what we were looking for and we were led right to them. The kids were able to lay out all of the blue and green options to choose from and then coordinate with the lovely necklace my wife had found elsewhere. But then the wife saw the charms and wanted a turtle one to go with a necklace of sorts. The associate had since started helping someone else, so she handed us off to Lu who was also so great. The kids loved everything they saw, so we let them choose a bracelet. But, of course, they wanted the same one. We foresaw trouble. Lu saw a solution. She added a charm with their first initial to each girl’s bracelet so they could tell them apart. And then she gave them a tour of her office where she keeps all the samples of beads and things. The kids — and us too — had an amazing experience that we will remember for a long time. As one of the kids told Lu on the way out: “This is the best store in Kansas!””
