Park Place is a very clean, beautiful, and quaint shopping area with the charm of "main street." It offers retail, dining, office, lodging, and residential options. The area is nice and safe to walk around, featuring one-of-a-kind boutiques and many interesting shops and restaurants at a range of prices, though things can be a bit pricey. In the middle sits the beautiful Barkley Square, a community green space with year-round events. In the Summer, there are free weekly events like outdoor yoga, concerts, movies, and a farmers' market, plus a play area for kids. In the Winter, it transforms into “The Ice at Park Place,” an outdoor ice-skating rink. It is a great spot for a date night or out with friends.
Bamboo Penny's restaurant has great service and the best curry dishes. Free covered parking is nice, too.

Nice shopping area for more of an upscale experience. They have street parking and a garage. The street parking was plentiful during a weekday morning visit. They have nice open spaces for hanging out. There's a bunch of restaurants and shops to make a morning or day of.

I love the free weekly events (I brought a friend here for outdoor yoga and it was a fun time) and there are many quaint shops featuring different local artists. Things can get a bit pricey, but it’s definitely fun to just walk around, especially when the weather is nice!
