I have never had issues with having medications being filled like I have with CVS specialty pharmacy. I keep getting notifications to refill my medication & when I try to have it refilled, I keep getting the runaround. I’m locked out of my account with CVS Caremark and even though I.T has been working on it for over a month, nobody can figure out what’s going on. I keep getting told my prior authorization is not on file and I have to keep giving them my prior authorization approval number and the dates it is good for. I was on the phone for almost 2 hrs the other day and nothing got resolved. Tonight I was on the phone again and they are saying the prior authorization number is no good and my Dr will need to submit a new one.

As a former employee, I have never worked so hard for people who flat out do not care about their employees.

This is a terrible specialty pharmacy, there is no patient advocacy or communication with patient. I was previously using Walgreens Specialty pharmacy, which was wonderful - they handled all the administration work for me, and I did not have to stress about getting my prescriptions approved through insurance. This CVS Specialty pharmacy expects the patient to handle all the administration work. I had to enroll myself in the Abbvie patient assistance program, reach out to my doctor and tell them where to fax the orders to, and call each time to make sure they applied the Abbvie coupon. The people working here like to make getting your prescription as difficult as possible. Living with a chronic illness is already difficult, and this pharmacy just makes it worse.

If insurance didn’t make me use this I wouldn’t. Service is terrible.

I've been on the phone with them multiple times trying to get my copay card connected to my account. The price of the subscription with the copay card should only be $5. CVS is insisting that it will be $2000 out of pocket even with the copay card. I've never had this issue with any of the other pharmacies i've used. The only reason I'm having to use cvs is because my employer is contracted through them. I wouldnt wish CVS Specialty Pharmacy on my worst enemy.

They're racist and fire black people because they look "unapproachable" and the older white women that work their are scared of them.

Been waiting a week and their web site still says my prescription is "being reviewed." Called when they opened and I've been on hold for 40 min. There doesn't appear to be any way to actually talk to a person, just a loop of robo operators that eventually drop my call. Go anywhere else.update: eventually I talked to two actual people and they were really nice and solved my problem.

I give them 2 stars for these 2 reasons.Taking action1. I called several times giving the information for the co-pay. There was an instance they want me to put those information myself because they can't figure out how to do it. Come on, how many times a customer need to call for you to take action? Thankfully, after 3 phone calls with different persons, this issue was resolved.Prescription Orders2. I did 3 orders for my prescription. My prescription is ordered at this pharmacy and is sent either to my address or to a CVS nearby. First one was smooth. For the second one, issues with copay which was resolved after several phone calls, and I needed to beg that they send me my prescription because I am almost near my last dose. For the third one, I will get it on the same day I need it. So much fun. I just hope it is ready to be picked up tomorrow when I go there.I don't like writing bad reviews but this new experience is making me anxious. I was getting my prescription from Walgreens until I was forced to use CVS Specialty because it is the preferred pharmacy by my health insurance. I hope that by writing this review, you will improve your service. Thank you for making sure I will have my prescription on time (hopefully not on the same day I need it) but I believe you can do much better.

Worst pharmacy in the world. It has taken 3 weeks to get my medicine and I still dont have it. The customer service representatives are not trained on how to use the computer. Truly awful. I give them a ZEROOO

Zero stars. Of course there is a problem with my order. There is a problem with every order placed with you. The pharmacy is closed and will be closed until next week. Not a way to get an answer as to what your problem is with my order. And i am without my specialty medicine. I wish your fragile, sick and medicine dependent elderly and children are receiving the same level of care that i am.

The reason im giving it a 3 they are very helpful to get my son's medicine. They are very friendly and understanding however i have been trying for 3 days to get his medicine this time around. I call every week for refills been doing this for about 4-5 months now. In the beginning it was such an easy experience. Lately it has been nothing of a headache!! I have been on hold theses last times for over 40 mins!! I understand being busy but really this takes the cake. I have even messaged them and they said to call back and keep trying which i do its just so irritating. Vent over

After 96 minutes on hold, they finally looked up my prescription and lo and behold no one has contacted the doctor after calling the scrip in 8 days ago. Essence asked if I wanted her to call the dermatologist now( 6:10 pm cdt)? Are you serious? Go ahead if you honestly think a doctor let alone a specialist is going to answer. She must not have liked that answer, she hung up. This kind of customer service is what I have come to expect from anything CVS. I guess I'll just have to drive over to their office since I live in the same metro area. I wonder if the service gets any better if I'm standing in front of them? Doubtful! This is just another way the health Insurance co cuts cost while my premium skyrockets out of control. I hope you all GO BANKRUPT.

This specialty pharmacy has to be under staffed beyond belief. Not one time have I Called without being on hold for over 30min before getting to a person to help. Tonight’s call was 1 hour and 8min . (Screenshot in their google photos) 5minutes actually with a person on the phone. This week alone I logged literally on my iPhone call records a total of 5 hours and 30min attempting to get my MS medicine. Started on Monday. Today is Thursday and I still don’t have medicine in hand or on the way. People are friendly but unfortunately I need medicine not a friendly discussion.
