I have zero complaints and never want to move. I love the layout, the amenities, the grounds, and the staff. I hope to live here for many more years. While I love everything about the place, it’s the staff that really make it the best. They are so personable and kind. I also really love that I can trust maintenance in my apartment if I’m not there. You just don’t have that every where. The events are great too!

If you are considering moving here, I would STRONGLY advise that you avoid this property and Block Multifamily more broadly. While this property is marketed as a "luxury" complex, it is the absolute worst complex that I have lived in. The units are outdated with DISGUSTING, old, moldy appliances. Nasty-looking showers. It is understandable that some shortcuts are taken when constructing apartments, but the units in this complex take this "cost savings" to a new level. There is ZERO soundproofing between units, and you will hear your neighbors' every word and footstep to an unsettling level that makes it difficult to live comfortably. How do you even get building permits to build so many units so close together and without soundproofing? Block also has "guest apartments, " attracting loud and careless weekend visitors. If you complain about the sound, they tell you it's not "quiet hours" and basically to deal with it. That is, if they even respond to your communications. Now on the lazy and incompetent management that exists at every level at Block. A specific call out to the "regional manager," Ada Owen, who is either utterly unresponsive to communications or takes days to respond to time-sensitive matters. When she does respond, her communication is unhelpful. I am not sure who the actual property managers are at Edgewater because they are never available, slow to respond to communication, and generally unhelpful. The property is terribly managed with dog feces/urine everywhere, including in the buildings, and the hallways smell disgusting as residents leave trash in the hallways.Parking at this complex is also a nightmare. There are not sufficent parking spots for the number of residences, especially on the weekends. While management won't respond to actual resident concerns, they are quick to send emails and place unenforceable "warnings" on your car if you park in the "new resident parking" despite their maintenance staff regularly parking in these spots. There are also no clear signs indicating any parking restrictions for these spots. Just completely unprofessional. Now on to the rent, which is not competitive for the market. Block adds so many inexplicable fees to the rent, and these arbitrary fees seem always to continue increasing. If you are potential tentant, move somewhere else. Google WaterCrest at City Center and Block Multifamily for more realistic reviews of the complex and management company.

OMGosh! Let me tell you about EdgeWater! Rosie and her staff are fantastic. I am presently traveling for work and was set up in one of their suites and I was blown away. The linen is fresh, the apartment clean, dishes and cooking utensils are in stock, hallways clean and clear of trash, and the grounds were pristine! I had one little problem and the housekeeping staff was quick to resolve that issue. I am only sorry that work has kept me away from fully enjoying all of the facilities that are available for my stay. Thank you EdgeWater for making my work trip feel more like a vacation than work!

I have been here 2 years and it is ok. The floors are awful though and even though they look nice they make it so everyone can hear their neighbor above them to such an extent people often think you are stomping around. This and the fact that most dogs are constantly peeing in the elevators/on the carpets makes the whole experience less then advertised when given a tourNone of this is even counting the games played with amenities or trash service that only shows up about 70% of the time.Basically if you are looking to move here only move to the top floor so you can't hear anyone above you or the bottom floor so you can walk around all you want. I would recommend the bottom floor since it smells the best.I should also add that it seems some residents get sticky fingers and like to take what does not belong to them and when you ask about something stolen in front of 2 different cameras they do not even bother putting in any effort to check the cameras which is just not acceptable.

In 3 years things have changed at this complex. Ask lots of questions when renting. This community is the bet place I have lived in 40 years. The staff is excellent always willing to assist. The other people living here are all like neighbors and friends. The common areas with the pool, hot tub, cabanas and grill stations is better than a resort. The clubhouse is fantastic. There are so many good things here you need to visit and see how right I am.Discovered black mold on back wall of apartment

Overpriced apartments and amenities, paper thin walls/ceilings, multiple staff changes per year, dogs constantly barking, rude neighbors who don’t care about anyone/anything but themselves... the list goes on and on. We’ve been here for two years and are absolutely sick of it. We cannot wait to move out once our lease is up this year.

The music being played at the pool between 9am and 10pm is usually so loud that it can be heard inside the apartments and vibrating the walls/windows depending on the songs people are playing. If this amount of noise wouldn't be allowed from a individual apartment I don't understand why doing it at the pool somehow makes it ok. Add to that the grown men and women screaming and yelling at the pool in the middle of the night, louder than any children that are ever at the pool, and people smoking weed throughout the apartments the value and quality just doesn't exist here. The staff are great and helpful but the overall quality of people you actually have to live with here is easily the worst I've come across. You're paying luxury apartment prices to live in what is essentially a college dorm.

I moved to this property over the winter for a short term lease and honestly wish I stayed longer! I enjoyed taking my dog out and had great neighbors. I miss it already!

Promised amenities are being cut back without proper compensation. There used to be an included car services, but that was taken away. "Dog walking service" included with pet rent was not being performed as promised. Trash service is a forced payment and often does not come. Recycling has been taken away because they had to pay a few fines for the wrong items going in it, but they also stop providing cups for the coffee machine in order to "go green". Overall no longer a reasonable value for the rent prices.

I have been in the Corporate Housing business for 20 years and I just moved out of a unit at Edgewater. I can't believe they sent me an email saying I had to pay for replacing the carpet. They sent me a picture of pet damage, that I swear was not even the apt I rented. There was no urine smell in the apt when I moved out and there were no dogs in there. The halls stink from dog urine. The walls in the hallway are filthy dirty from people moving in and out. Complex is full of irresponsible pet owners. Worst place I ever rented and I have been in about 100 different Apts.Just a follow up to your response. When I moved in the carpet was three years old. The management pulls up the carpet on every move out. I was billed for replacing the carpet, even though there was no visible damage or smell. The water spots were on the carpet backing. I just think prospective renters should be aware of all the additional charges this property and management company charge. It was a very bad business decision on my part to rent at Edgewater. There are a lot of better options available.

The place looks like a resort. All the appliances are brand new and Michele was excellent help with getting us ready for move-in!
